Default Who hurts the industry more, crooked books or crooked players?

I have seen many a player get very nasty towards the player that cheats, scams or comes close to doing which could be deemed as under-handed. I agree that the game should be played with honesty on both sides. Having said that, I still think that the book has every advantage in the world. If the book doesn't want to burned on WU transfers, they can take precautions against it, same with checks, credit cards, neteller and just about every other type of financial transaction out there. Now come to the book, the player posts-up and wins, the book doesn't pay, what recourse does the player really have????
NONE......I know this, I was stiffed large a few years ago, the book just re-opened under a new name, same office, same people. What has the book community done to shut him down, NOTHING.
I say that the books have it there favor and they need some form of regulation and fast!!!

Which sportsbook was it that stiffed you, and what new name have they opened under?

Sorry to hear about it. If they are crooked, it would be nice for you to let it be known exactly who they are. This may prevent someone else from being burned in the future. Good luck.

JTThor,
What good does your post do for your fellow bettors unless you do as Amazing suggests, and tell us the new name? You say:

"......I know this, I was stiffed large a few years ago, the book just re-opened under a new name, same office, same people. What has the book community done to shut him down, NOTHING."

How long has this new book been open? Have you seen any posts here or elsewhere that indicate the same tactics are being employed? Without particulars, it is impossible for this part of the book community - the bettors - to be on top of the situation.

Does anyone remember a place called Wagersport.com that used to stiff people some 5-6 years back?

THe new name is Play Horizons sports. My post is not really about me being stiffed, but more about how this forum is to protect the bettors but really serves the intrest of the books. Thats where there money comes from so you really don't want to bite the hand that feeds you. By no means am I saying that it is this forum alone, but rather the whole.... When a book makes a mistake, post a bad line, cancels the action on the winning side because they made an error, DO THEY ALSO CANCEL THE ACTION ON THE LOSING SIDE?????????
