Default NFL CREDIBILITY?

How about that gimme sack for Strahan by Green Bay to beat out Mark Gastineau's one season sack record. Where's the asterisk when we need it?

Lombardi just did a 360!

Have to agree with you there. Wish Strahan had gotten it under less suspicious circumstances.

Thought the same thing.
Then I thought, maybe the guy who set the record before got a gimme sack too.

If Commissioner Tagliabue sanctions that artificial sack, the precedent is set. Learn from these bad actors and bet accordingly.

It reminded me off the refs in the 2000 nba west final when they gave the Lakers 20 straight calls. very phony looking.

Chiefs just called a draw play with about 7 seconds left in the half at midfield. Better get an extra asterisk ready in case P. Holmes wins the rushing title.

Sure Favre gave him the sack. Whats the big deal? Does anyone on earth (except Strahan and Gastinau) care about the sack record? I am sure everyone hear knows about Denny McLain grooving that pitch to Mantle

<<<<Yeah, I do Aly. It's called integrity. Something this country has been lacking in the 90s.>>>>>>>

<<<<Denny McLain huh, where the funk is he? Back in the Big House for a second term. Favre's close to that scene. His sister did a stretch recently.>>>>>

Packers had the game wrapped up and the situation presented itself.....Just one good guy, gently helping another good guy get a notch on his belt. So much animosity and back stabbing amongst players. It was refreshing.

Refreshing was watching the Bills go 3-13, you still owe me some wheatgrass S.B., the Bills deserve that record for backstabbing Flutie.

I agree with Ronbets that is a huge asterisk.

I thought it was a disgrace, I would never want to win a sack record like that, how can this guy live with himself? They talked about it right before the play.

Always a pleasant word from the congregation. Still holding onto lil Dougie's jock for dear life, I see.

Major & Devil have my email. Get it, and contact me. I'll send you out some wheatgrass money.

Nice final play in that game to get it over! 27-7, 1 minute left. 2 handoffs and get on the frigging plane, for Christ's sake! 100 yard INT return! What a bunch of bullshit! Anyone have Over?

Credibility problems not limited to the NFL.

Plenty of pitches were grooved to Big Mac when he hit 70. Ball might be juiced as well. Ballparks are purposely designed to produce offense. The guy who broke up Schilling's no hitter gets publicly criticised for playing to win a game.

Of course people care about the record, you only have to see the sports coverage to know that. If there is a more prestigous defensive record I'd like to know what it is. I agree with Ronbets and Trujillo, I don't like monkeying with the integrity of the game and I wouldn't want to get a record under those circumstances.

If they put an * by Strahan's sack total, then they need to put an * by the 49ers win today. The Saints never planned on playing hard in that game, and didn't. The Saints are a digrace. they mailed it in last week too.
