| Superbook and Premiere League offer the greatest apology to all of their customers for the technical difficulties, which have their web sites down. Wagers are still being accepted on their toll free telephone lines: 1-877-9VICTORY. As has been rumoured, Superbook and PL are in the process of moving their entire operations to Costa Rica. The move was fuelled by the recent decision of the Government of Antigua to impose a 3% tax on the net winnings of all sports book in addition to the steep annual licensing fees every sports book in Antigua already pays. Superbook/PL felt that they couldn’t continue to offer their customers competitive lines while paying 3% more in tax on net profits than their competitors in Costa Rica, Belize and elsewhere. The move from Antigua to Costa Rica was designed to have been invisible to Superbook/PL’s customers, but there have been difficulties with the local telephone company in transferring their lines. Everyone at Superbook/PL has been working around the clock to get the Internet service up and running as soon as possible. Both sites should be back and running later this afternoon or tomorrow morning. A complete announcement on all the details of the move will be made as soon as they can complete the first priority of getting the sites up and running. Superbook/PL is part of Victor Chandler International, the largest independent bookmaker in the world, which handled nearly a billion dollars in international sports wagering later year. The rumour that Superbook/PL tried to “escape” from Antigua without paying its employees there is ridiculous, if for no other reason than that Victor Chandler will continue to own and operate The St. John’s Casino, one of the largest land-based casinos and local employers on the island of Antigua. |

| "Like always, read it at MajorWager first" "The rumour that Superbook/PL tried to “escape” from Antigua without paying its employees there is ridiculous" like the old saying "garbage in, garbage out" - if you go to a dump site, you gotta expect trash. Ain't nothing new about this kinda stuff. What is new is that more and more books are catching on to it. And the stories they've been telling me have me cracking up laughing.....
