| Talked w/Sarge tonite in Japan and he did some calculations on his computer. Here's what it spit out ... 1) Bears win by 7, Seattle covers +8.5 2) Bolts win by 1, Pats cover +5 3) Saints lose by 3, Philly covers +5 (he's showing a 8/pt overlay) 4) Ravens win by 4, Colts Push +4 Now keep in mind his computer was only about 54% this season - had a really bad year. But when he does the playoffs (for himself) he only throws in stats from the most recent games instead of the entire season, so it shows a better reflection of how they're playing right now.

Of course, there's another issue here, do the Bears suck? 2) Bolts win by 1, Pats cover +5 -- This is a tough game to call. But I've gotta agree, you simply don't give the Pats more than 4 points, ever. And San Diego, they're solid, but not as good as advertised. 3) Saints lose by 3, Philly covers +5 (he's showing a 8/pt overlay) -- This is a game to be studied, hard. I agree that you simply grab the points now, you don't cross a key number til 7, so plenty of room to bail out if you decide you're wrong. 4) Ravens win by 4, Colts Push +4 -- The only way to go here is the chalk, Indy confounds, a lot like the Bears, whereas the Ravens beat everyone, like, 24-3. Billick is one of the few, if not only, head coach who can play chess at the same level as Belichick. |
