Pete, you're an asshole! Like the guy or not, give him his props, he's one of the best of all time! There are plenty of other things these networks do that are much worse!

4 more years on his contract? And $11 million still left to be paid out? Urlacher, tear out his knee like LT did Joey Thy. Enough is enough.

One of the few times I've agreed with u jackie.

It'd be the same lovefest with any of the other greats of all time. Only difference is there wasn't as much coverage back in the 80's and 90's as you now have. So many women in here who want to bitch like little girls at anything. An all time great qb may be playin his last game and u bitch.

He was "maybe playing his last game" for the last 3 FUKKING years!!!

It was obvious in 2005 that he was coming back!
It was obvious in 2006 that he was coming back!

AND IT IS OBVIOUS NOW THAT HE IS COMING BACK!!!!

And you think all this coverage is at Favre's request? He just wants to play the game, he has never wanted his name in the spotlight. Yeah, maybe enough is enough, but don't blame him, blame the networks! Blame John Madden!

Welcome back jj, I was beginning to forget how much of a turd you really are. Thanks for reminding me! Money hungry? You're just plain stupid!

And Dell Dude, you're wishing for someone to tear his knee and basically ruin his life? You are a sick, twisted piece of shit. That's utterly detestable and you should be ashamed! How would you feel if I said I detested your mother and wished some criminal would rape her to shut her up for good? It's loathsome and surfeiting!

Maybe so but that pick six against the Vikings to cost me my three point spread and thus three teamer is still fresh in my mind. That is mostly why I am starving right now.

He never wanted his name in the spotlight?? Is that some kind of joke?!?! He even held a press conference once this year to announce that he hadn't made up his mind! Retire, or DON"T retire, but stfu and stop doing the ongoing lap dance with the boneheads in Green Bay. He actually stated in public at the beginning of this season that he thought this year's Packer team was the most talented he had played with! For him to utter such a statement shows that he has zero credibility. Furthermore, his much ballyhooed streak is not unlike Ripken's was near the end-he's actually probably harming the team with his insistence on "gritting it out" and playing hurt. I wouldn't go so far as to wish an career ending injury on a player, but let's just say that if that happened to this phony prick I wouldn't exactly be sobbing in my orange juice...

I have lost even more respect for Favre after that postgame crying game performance. This guy is a piece of cake. The "Have you missed me yet?" routine is already in full force. And Madden fell for it. Not only his eyes weren't dry, neither was his fat pants.

I'm not going to defend Favre anymore to you fukking idiots who only like the sound of your own voice. You are all clueless! The fact that you call Favre a phony prick shows that you nostaw HAVE NO CREDIBILITY. Phony? You're even more of a dolt than I give you credit for! Hurting the team by "gritting it out?" Please! How many games would they have won with Aaron Rodgers running the show this year? 3 if they were lucky! Even being a Packer fan, if you would have told me that they would finish the season 8-8, I would have told you that you were insane! Without Favre, I would've stopped watching after week 3. Please get a clue before you spew senseless horse shit you uneducated halfwit.

I like Favre, and like watching him play...But, i could really do without another entire offseason drama of 'whats he gonna do!?!?" shit.

either play, or retire.

Christ we're not solving world hunger here.

On another note, if he does retire, he went out on a good note..thats always good to see...If he comes back, i don't think it's a total waste.

He still seems to enjoy it, and the Packers do seem to be improving a bit.

He (or the media, rather) won't be dragging this out all off-season this time. Do you think he would have dragged it out as long as he did because he wanted to do it that way? He simply didn't know! But, he's made it clear, both last night, and in the local new today, that it won't be more than a couple weeks. Let the guy make his decision, and I wish the press would just leave it ALONE until he does make up his mind. Give him a few weeks with his wonderful family, and he'll get it done as soon as he can.

The only one who is clueless is YOU, you brainless prick! You demonstrated my point in your own words, and you're too stupid to realize it: YOU said it would take a lot for them to reach 8-8 (though 8-8 in the pathetic NFC is no great accomplishment), but Pill Popping Beer Guzzling Scum said it was most talented team that he had ever had in Green Bay-which, of course, would include both a Super winner and finalist. Now, that statement either makes him stupid, or a liar...and he ain't stupid. But YOU obviously are. Plus, you carefully avoided answering the question of why, if he's so anti-publicity, he held a press conference to announce that he hasn't made up his mind yet. He clearly gets off on the attention, and with that tearful performance last night, he at least showed his acting has improved markedly since his wooden performance in "Something About Mary."

I like Favre, I think he is a talented QB, but I also think he's on the take. It's between him and Tommy Maddox for most "thrown" games. The man is so high on a pedastal, he never has to answer for some of the horrible throws he makes. He is WAY to talented, and WAY to experienced to be throwing some of the picks he throws. That pick against the vikings was a rookie mistake, not a veteran of his years. The "punt" he threw up in OT a couple years ago to the Eagles in the playoffs, wasn't within 20 yards of a packer receiver. How many pick sixes did he throw last year? How many pick sixes did he throw to the rams in that playoff game a few years ago. He threw 4 picks to the vikings in their playoff loss to Tice's boys... and those vikes had like 7 picks all year!!! He never has to explain himself.

The man is on the TAKE... and you can't tell any packer fan that, they'll rip your head off.

Spend some of that cap money you have Packers and load up for ONE more year
surrounding the stud with impact players.

He deserves that.
