| Detroit Lion sued by former girlfriend Birmingham resident claims Damien Woody backed out of his promises of marriage, business. Mike Martindale / The Detroit News Oct 27 BIRMINGHAM -- A Birmingham woman claims Detroit Lion Damien Woody broke up her engagement with another man and then wooed her into moving in with him with the promises of marriage, lifelong security and her own business. But Gina Ballard claims in her Oakland Circuit Court lawsuit that the 28-year-old Woody at first concealed that he was already married with children. After a few months of promising that he would divorce his wife and marry Ballard, Woody allegedly backed out on all of his original promises, she claims. Ballard, 35, seeks more than $250,000 in damages that she believes she is owed by Woody, an All-Pro NFL offensive lineman who was a member of two Super Bowl New England Patriots teams in 2002 and 2004 before signing with the Lions in 2004. Woody of Novi could not be reached for comment Thursday. Ballard alleges when she met Woody in September 2005, she was employed and engaged to another man with whom she had a child. Ballard said Woody deliberately interfered with that relationship, causing her fiance to break off the engagement and fire her from her job. The lawsuit alleges Woody then began dating Ballard and set up a home for her in Birmingham and promised to marry her, providing she move in, manage the home and assist him on his out-of-town trips. Woody allegedly offered to pay all her expenses and also purchase a business for her for $250,000. Ballard claims she helped Woody prepare for the football season, traveled with him and agreed to have "extensive cosmetic and dental surgery." After several months, Woody went back on his promises of support, car and a home, and refused to buy her a business, the suit claims. The pair split up in July 2006, according to the lawsuit, which is assigned to Oakland Circuit Judge Michael Warren. |

| My old lady does a lot of hair for the Lion's wives and girlfriends, these cats are all scumbags. 2-3 gf's in addition to a wife and kids. Domenic Raiola is another piece of work. MC |

| Lots of cash in wigs. My old lady pulls down close to 80k a year cutting and combing. So much so I am about to put a mini-salon in my basement to reap some benefits of all the nights I am stuck babysitting. MC |

| Birmingham woman files complaint against Detroit Lions player By JULIE EDGAR FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER November 28, 2006 A Birmginham woman filed a complaint against Detroit Lions offensive guard Damien Woody today, alleging that he is bothering her. Birmingham Police Chief Richard Patterson declined to provide details of the complaint, only that Birmingham resident Gina Ballard has "concerns" that might warrant her seeking a personal protection order against Woody. She is not alleging that he threatened her, he said, but police will investigate. Ballard, 35, went to police just before noon. "It's more of a concern because of an ongoing dispute. We told this woman if she has any concerns to get a PPO. This whole thing looks like a civil case to me," said Patterson. Ballard sued Woody in October in Oakland County Circuit Court, claiming he hadn't made good on promises to divorce his wife and marry her, to provide her with financial security and her own business. She claimed in her lawsuit that she ended her engagement to another man in 2005 and agreed to undergo cosmetic surgery, based on the promises. Ballard is seeking more than $250,000 in damages. Woody, 29, is a Novi resident who is married with four young daughters. He is on the Lions' injured/reserved list because of a foot sprain. Neither Ballard nor Woody could be reached for comment |

| 23-68 (.253) That is the Lions record during the Matt Millen era. "Best" season out of six was 6-10 in 2004. Name another team in the National Football Lottery Millen would have lasted this long with that record and those draft choices and free agents and coaches other than the Lions. He's the one who should have a PPO slapped on him. I'm more qualified to be general manager/President of the Liedowns. I guarantee you people I could beat that record. And I could use the fukkin coin. Has to pay better than the Machine Shop.

| Here's a way to put that record in perspective. Lost In Translation comes out to 40-122 which would beat the 2003 Tigers and become the worst record of all time in the Major Leagues.
