| One of the best documentaries I have ever watched. They did a timeline while quoting emails through the whole story. ABSOLUTELY FVCKING SICKENING! The shit going on in Congress is out of control. For those of you not familiar with the story. Abramhoff was a special interest lobbyist. He managed to bury a vote on anti-net gambling once (Yes, this makes him a good guy right?WRONG.) Then he and a complex network of donations which acted as bribes to Congressmen absolutely fleeced some tribe casinos. Many speculate that Abramoff is only one of many doing this. If your Congressman takes a junket trip somewhere nice, it's probably being paid for with special interest money. An expert also noted that he felf Congress is totally lost to corruption right now and needs to be shut down and started over. After watching this doc, I'm voting Dem. across the board just to enter some new blood. Thomas Lay quote (or something close to it) as he took his mug shot: "It is my hopes that the people see Jesus when they view this photo." |

| If your talking about the one last night on PBS I saw it myself and made me sick to my stomach the way the government operates these days. |

| That's the one. You know, I have to wonder if Jack didn't get busted, would he have been able to bury this last attempt at legislation? Another interesting tidbit, and maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I heard them say that only 2 payments of 25k was paid for the anti-gambling effort to Jack/Delay. Kind of cheap? Who would of ever thought the online gaming sector would pay a bribe? |

| Like it is something new. I find it amazing that they will read Abramoff's emails, Foley's emails- but the LS will not allow anyone to read emails to and fr Al Qaeda prisoners.

| IIRC, Abramoff was only scuttled the last bill because it did not contain an exemption for lotteries. I believe he was representing some company at the time called ELottery. The bill the swine put through last week would have satisfied Abramoff's client. That's the irony.
