Really sad that this is only the 4th most active petition on PetitionOnline, slightly ahead of Keep Walmart Layaway.

That has been my main concern all along, that people just aint interested to the point of getting involved anymore.

Consequentially, the FED will continue to keep chipping away at our liberties, until one day we all wake up an go .... "Whoa! Wha-hoppened?"

See, I enjoyed your post on the 'books' thread, but when I read this line here of yours I hadda chuckle to myself, because it's all happening so subtly.

"There is no fear like the perceived risk (even though it is probably unfounded) of losing everything you own"

Every law just voted on an being put into place can put any one of us in GTMO if we step outta line ...

just 4983 signatures? I guess these petition drives lose momentum fast.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I guess these petition drives lose momentum fast. </end quote></div>

Not necessarily Minnow, there are now 2 petitions fighting to keep the Walmart Layaway Plan. Both of which are pummeling the Legalize Online Gambling petition.

The supporters of the group, fighting to keep Walmart Layaway, are incensed that a choice they love could be taken away. They are both determined and proactive in keeping this choice available to themselves. Even though neither I nor my lovely wife have ever used Walmart Layaway, I admire their resolve to stand together as a group and have their wishes known in overwhelmong numbers.

I found another online petition that may be helpful.

C'mon people, make a difference!

Unwittingly, you are proving your own point.

SIGNING AN ONLINE PETITION IS NOT GETTING INVOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And please, don't tell me "well, it's better than nothing." Actually, it isn't. This is just as good as nothing.

More of the same. This does not make a difference any more than if you opened your window and yelled at your congressman in Washington.

How in the phuck do you think the average citizen express their personal opinions? Petitions whether on or offline are one effective way ! If enough support is behind something, it can happen. A lack of support, can also cause it to die.
