No Manny, no Ortiz. What happened to Oritz?

Not a single player on the team from two years ago, not surprising that the A's are kicking our ass right now.

This is a terrible terrible team. The last couple of weeks they've played the Yankees on national TV a few times and then this tour of the west coast against the AL West teams, so I've seen them pretty much every game for the last two weeks. Two years ago I used to race home from work to watch them, stayed up late to watch them after a rain delay, etc etc. This year I really couldn't care less, they are terrible - no desire whatsoever!!

According to the Red Sox, Ortiz was not feeling well.

BOSTON - DH David Ortiz (irregular heartbeat) missed last game, downgraded to out indefinitely.
MLB.com reports Ortiz suffered a recurrence of the rapid heartbeat he was
experiencing 10 days ago. Ortiz will fly back to Boston Tuesday morning to
undergo further medical exams. "He's going to go back to Boston and he's going
to get a clean bill of health before we let him play again," said manager
Francona. "He wanted to play; we just can't do that. We can't play him like
that. We just can't do it. I know [general manager Theo Epstein] is in
agreement with me. We sat in here with [Ortiz] and, as much as we want to win,
we can't do it. We're just going to make sure he's OK."

OF Manny Ramirez (knee) missed last few games, downgraded to doubtful Tuesday and
Wednesday vs Oakland.
MLB.com reports Ramirez continues to have right-knee woes and Monday missed his
fifth start in seven games on the trip. He isn't likely to play in the final
two games of this series.
