BetonSports ditches Q2 KPIs announcement following last week's US closure BetonSports ditches Q2 KPIs announcement following last week's US closure
LONDON (AFX) - BetonSports PLC, the beleaguered online betting firm, today cancelled its scheduled announcement of Key Performance Indicators for the second-quarter following last week's decision to shut down its US-facing operations, which accounted for 95 pct of its profits.
The company is attempting to refocus on its Asian operations following last week's development, which analysts believe left its future hanging precariously in the balance.
Altium Securities analyst Wayne Brown believed the closure represented 'pretty much a worst-case scenario for shareholders' and also stated that the group's Asian-facing businesses may need to be sold in order to settle all outstanding liabilities.
A BetonSports spokesman told AFX News the company decided not to go ahead with the KPIs in light of its current circumstances. The company's shares remain suspended. |
