Default If the Senate does pass the online gambling bill then.....

Will online sports betting really be gone?? Will books find other ways to let bettors deposit money if the senate bands all credit card company's and banks??? I was just wondering what the answer is, or what your opinions are?? Thanks!!!

Why can't you just W.U. some cash to a guy named Juan in Costa Rica.

yeah i don't know if they could block W.U. also?? I don't know it sounds like if this law passes (which i think will) us bettors could be S.O.L. for online sportsbetting?? Im sure they could find a way around though, no?

Long-term, I'd see it almost as a customs form for money. You know how when you ship something overseas, you have to fill out a form that says what's inside the package? Part of the reason is to create a liability - you're SOL if you say its "documents" and its really some contraband. Same thing here - if they make you sign that your money is for your sick aunt and they track it to a sportsbook, then you're SOL.

I'm not saying this is going to happen tommorrow, or ever, but it could happen and this would be the most likely scenario.

What I think may happen, if this law is ever passed(I doubt it will be) is the books will issue a credit card to their customers from a foreign bank, and you'll be able to fund and withdraw that way. That was the case with a book I openned with in the late 90's, and it was a good system, but then Paypal and Neteller came along, and made it kinda obsolete. But it can easily be brought back if needed, IMO.
