Does anyone else think Negreanu to win the WSOP 10k is a really good bet?

If we should know anything by now it's that ANY player at ANY odds to straight-up win the WSOP is a HORRIBLE bet. There's just so many players now that it's a total crap-shoot. With that many players, it's becoming so much more of a lottery than anything else.

I know Negreanu is a great tournament player, but he always seems
to go out early in The Main Event. Not sure why.

The odds won't be great on these two guys I'm about to mention, but
you've gotta love Phil Ivey in ANY tournament, to make the final table.
And perhaps Sammy Farha can get things together to make a run at the
final table this year.

There is a gentleman named "Patrik Antonius" who is 55-1 at Pinnacle
to finish in the Top 10.

I've heard of most of the big names in poker but I've never heard of this cat.

Anyone in here familiar with him?

Expecting ~8000 players for the World Series Main Event. At that number, the very best players are around 1500 to 1 to win.

I admit that I am certainly not a poker bettor, much less a poker player.
I cannot even beat my own buddies at the regular home games!!!

However, I enjoy watching the "pros" play on TV in these major tournaments.

I watch poker fairly regularly on ESPN, occasionally on Fox
as well. I have seen just about all of the poker "pros", but have
never seen Antonius. But considering his odds at 55-1 to make
the final table, he must have some serious poker talent.

He must be one of the top players on the European circuit, I'm guessing...

Antonius is from Finland. He won 205k in the 50k HORSE event this year.

I would take Josh Arieh who has been running good. Mark Seif who is a great no-limit player. The Actuary--just because. The Grinder is a great no limit player.

Arieh is a poker sharp. Great at knocking out inferior/crapshoot style players!
