I have to be honest here - and there is not an anti-American bone in my body - the USA did not get ripped off, and I think it's immature for you to say that. They were up a man after a vicious elbow by de Rossi - and they didn't do anything with that. If they had played the rest of the match up a draw would still be a good result for them. Let's not forget that Italy are a top class team - top five in the world if you ask me. The USA were outplayed and the match basically finished 9 on 9 because del Piero was finished. In my personal opinon both American red cards were justified, ESPECIALLY the first one - he lined up his tackle but completely mistimed it and missed the ball. Right in the front of the ref as well - that's going to be a straight red ten times out of ten. Americans need to stop whining, all they do is whine about other countries athletes diving and whining, when it's much more annoying to a neutral observer to hear the fans whine. Last World Cup, the Italians and Spaniards were blatantly ripped off by the referees, the USA have nothing to complain about.
