Default Bailouts Should Be Done on a Case by Case Basis

I remember when it became apparent that I would not be seeing any of the funds I first came to MW in hopes of recovering, somebody posted that I should contact Pinnacle about their "stiffed by a bad book" recovery program. I was curious enough to write to their CS dept about it, and was told that the deal was something like this: I would need to match the amount.. around 1300 I think, and then roll it over x amount of times.

Still licking my sores, I declined.. for all I knew Pinnacle might be another sweet talking stiffer.. lol

Anyway, looking back now, I see that's the only way. Too many people are posting up with crap books for huge bonus's thinking "There will be a bailout if these losers go belly up".

And now this latest "scandal" of how databases are handled by the operators brokering the deals has even dredged up questions regarding prior bailouts and possible duplicity involved.

I say screw group bailouts. If a book is willing to take on some debt for a crack at some unique customers, fine - Do it on a case by case basis, if at all.

Another thing- I have worked with others here at MW helping guys who got hurt at stiff books, only to find out that they had already struck a deal elsewhere. Total double-dipping, screw it up for everyone else scammers.

Its stupid to even have them.

The rookie project or these bonus pimping sites are as much to blame. Why wouldn't a guy take a 50% bonus or 100 on 100 because if it goes under you just go to a decent book and say I got hosed and they cut a deal with you.

Remember when Camelot went under and Aces Gold went under and the man who owned WTTS said he wouldn't bail anybody out and he shouldn't have to and he pretty much laughed at guys who were stuck. I think he is the smartest bookie of them all.

I first found this site when was having a hard time getting paid by ESB in 2001. I talked too Russ, and somehow before he contacted them I think even, the 2nd check they sent cleared. I learned so many great things here and feel very lucky too even be paid at all.

bailouts should be stopped completely

it was one thing 4 or 5 years ago when the differences between books were not as great, when not too many books had any established offshore experience to speak of

in 2006, it is quite obvious what books are "safe" and which are not

the bailouts only encourage further risk-taking by both the players and new book owners

Too whom? Certainly the average MW reader is hip like you say. Is the average person that doesn't play offshore the same? I question that.

Rog--thats a good point but how is the average sports bettor going to end up at Rich Coast or betonstars. They are going to end up at bigger books who can afford to advertise BOS, Bodog etc.
