| Hi, I am new to the site, live in London, and am planning on visiting Las Vegas, where I plan on continuing to bet on sports. I figured that this is the best place to ask. I know that any responses are not fact nor binding, I just want to get an idea. 1. I know that I can go into any casino and do this, but can I do it on-line legally? 2. Can I bet accounts in the US that are not registered in the US (ie as a British citizen can I bet my english account into my english on-line book)? 3. As an american would I be able to do this? 4. Is it legal to trade on sports exchanges as opposed to betting into books (as an american or a brit)? Any advice and/or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. |

| Welcome to the United States. You are obviously a terrorist looking for ways to launder money. Your IP address has been traced, you have been identified and your flight number and arrival time has been passed on to the Federal Flight Marshall's. Upon landing on US soil you will be transported directly to Guantanamo Bay Detention Center to answer a few brief questions. Again, Welcome to the USA and we hope you enjoy your visit. | ^^^^^Idiot Liberal. For real, some in the government want to ban internet gambling of any kind. However right now sports, poker, and lottery internet gambling is legal. And especially being in Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world, you are good to go. |

| Washington State Tackles Online Gambling The Seattle Post-Intelligencer is reporting that Washington has passed a law against wagering money on Internet games that will make it Class C felony as of June 7, 2006. Apparently this will apply to poker as well as other types of online gambling. "Although the head of the state Gambling Commission says it is unlikely that individual online gamblers will be targeted for arrest, the new law carries stiff penalties: as much as five years in prison and a $10,000 fine."

| Nevada Revised Statute: NRS 465.093 Placing, sending, transmitting or relaying wagers to another person prohibited under certain circumstances; penalty. 1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 465.094, a person, alone or with others, shall not knowingly: (a) From within this state, place, send, transmit or relay through a medium of communication a wager to another person or an establishment that is located within or outside of this state; or (b) From outside of this state, place, send, transmit or relay through a medium of communication a wager to another person or an establishment that is located within this state. 2. A person who violates the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor. Bottom line, you'll probably get away with it... but many of the EU books block US ISP's anyway... goodluck

Its a misdemeanor. LOL man OF COURSE HE WILL GET AWAY WITH IT. I'd be willing to bet that there are more people in Las Vegas wagering online than in the actual brick and mortars. |
