Default Anti-Gambling Legislation and Futures Bets

I have a lot of money in MLB futures bets.

Suppose this anti-gambling bill passes and becomes law before the MLB season is over. Is anybody else concerned about getting their futures bets back in October?

Sure, the offshores might credit us for the futures wins, but what if with the new law, Neteller withdrawals suddenly get blocked by the US banking system along with other payout attempts?

Anyone else concerned about this?

No, how is the US government going to stop a book from paying into your netteller? As far as I know there isnt jack they can do. Now, as far as getting it from your Netteller to YOU, thats a different story and one I'm not able to answer if they pass a law. I have no clue.

I am not worried about any book paying me for my futures bets though. Its still my money in Netteller so I'll deal with it if it arises.

Right- that's my concern...getting the US banks to accept Neteller payments BACK to me. The US feds can't stop the sportsbooks from paying to Neteller, but the banking system can block Neteller payments just like the credit cards can successfully block gambling deposits.

Hopefully the sportsbooks will FedEx a check or something assuming the check doesn't make it obvious what the company does.

The sportsbooks could just tell us Americans to go screw ourselves once this becomes law, but I doubt they would have a business interest in doing that to us.

Worst case scenario, I guess you'll just have to take an island hopping carribean tour and collect in person. Not the worst vacation option out there.

So why doesn't this Goodlatte a-hole incriminate Yahoo!, the USA Today newspaper, the major national newsapapers for publishing daily gambling odds?

And while he's at it, why not criminalize NBC and other networks for advertising poker on TV? After all, Poker is another evil according to him.

And, while he's at it, if Internet gambling is so evil, then the UK is the new top Evil Empire, since the UK is legalizing it.

For chrissakes, why don't we just go to war with the UK since they are so evil? That will be next on his list.

The people in Virginia SUCK for re-electing this bozo ever term. Sames goes for the people in Arizona with Kyl.
