Default Online Gaming Survey

I took a survey tonight sponsored by surveydirect.com, one of many internet survey firms I belong to. There wer many questions about I-Gaming legal issues. They gave 2 alternatives that may or may not be being considered by the Gov't or some interested party. 1 was that anyone who wanted to gamble online would have to go to register, in person, at a Casino in your state, that you wished to have access to online betting. The other was just strict state by state control. If you lived in a state that had gambling, you could gamble, if not, SOL. With the thread(s) about some ISP testing about blocking gamling sites, I think something may be coming down the pike.

This could end up with the governemnt giving a monopoly to the LV casino's to operate online gaming. Certainly would not suprise me.

Funny how all the "alternatives" offered to the gambler involve either more government control and/or casino-corporate monopolization. Either allow the State or a corporation to take control of your right to gamble and everyone else who does not submit to this control is a criminal.

stated wonderfully B4L. That is exactly what is happening. Nobody needs a crystal ball when it comes to the US Government. I sure as fukc hope that the Republicans lose the house in November. Bunch of absolute morons. (bush and cronies)
