Picks for Sundays games What do you guys think?
GEORGETOWN HOYAS - This team was a sweater in the first round, but let me tell you something right now - the Hoyas' size and rugged defense will bob-wire that Buckeyes game from the outside, causing problems if their shots are off-center. I think we're going to see Georgetown's frontcourt take this game over, by denying anything that comes its way. Too much 7-foot-2-inch sophomore Roy Hibbert, as OSU's Dutch Boy - Terence Dials - stands 6-9 and will get wore down. Hibbert can't be covered, it's that simple. And when the focus becomes stopping him, and double teams appear, senior guard Ashanti Cook takes over, in the same manner that led him to tallying double digits in five of his past six games. JT III is on it guys, I've been telling you that all season. His team's stifling defense is reminiscent of his father's and Tark the Shark's infamous Amoeba D. this is your play guys, as the Big East was much more rugged than the Big 10, and it's show today.
NORTH CAROLINA - What's amazing is North Carolina's freshmen succumbed to nerves throughout the Heels' 69-65 win over Murray State, yet they still ended up accounting for 52 of UNC's 69 points, ahem, that's 75 percent. I have to think this will be the blowout game that shakes all cobwebs, as the Tar Heels are capable of blowing out any team left in this thing. Roy Williams has this team believing in itself, while also reminding the players that even though they had nothing to do with last year's National Championship team, they're still representing!
NWESTERN STATE - These Demons are extremely quick and are capable of going 10 deep who all average 10 minutes. And get this, all 10 have held the team-high scoring in a game. WVU spreads the offense and has experience, but NW State is too darned balance and extremely active on the ball. I am really interested in seeing how the Mountaineers respond to this orchestrated gameplan that is consistently sharp as a tack.
PACERS - If there is one thing Indiana has done for itself, it's been to display composure through so many distractions, and challenge for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. Boston comes in for its fourth straight road affair over the past six days. The Celtics have lost all three, and get an Indy team that is in DOUBLE REVENGE. The Pacers have been home long enough to be in position to extend an overdue blowout.
KINGS - Sacramento is surging, while Minnesota is purging. How long has this team been gone? No matter, it comes back from the West Coast to play its sixth game over the last 10 Days. Sacto has been playing well and should be easily prepared to step up for this game. The road team is 4-0 SU and ATS the last four meetings, and with Ron Artest breathing life into the physical game of this team, I have no trouble laying this against a team in disarray |
