Default From A Friend Of Calvin Ayre

Is Calvin Ayre a flake?

NO DOUBT!

Is Calvin Ayre an astute businessman and a marketing genius?

NO DOUBT!

Is Bodog as a company one of the largest and most financially solid companies in the offshore wagering industry?

NO DOUBT!

Like him or hate him you have to give Calvin Ayre his due in regards to the growth of his company Bodog.

This incident at his home was a local thing caused by the disgruntled neighbors in the exclusive neighborhood in which he lives.

They knew a poker game was going on for days, they assumed it was illegal gambling.

They didn't know it was being filmed for a reality T.V. series.

They saw beautiful woman going in and out of the house for days.

They assumed they were "working girls".

Calvin Ayre will appear in a Costa Rican court next week to hopefully clear this matter up.

The bottom line is Calvin Ayre is like a lot of individuals in the public eye someone "you love to hate".

Hate is a powerful word.

While everybody who dislikes Calvin may not really "hate" Calvin they do "hate" his antics and the many things he has done to put Bodog in the "public eye".

It's all part of the businessman's marketing plan to put Bodog on the map.

That's Calvin Ayre the businessman.

Calvin Ayre the person is one of the most likeable, compassionate and generous individuals you will ever meet.

He is totally unlike the public image he has created as the head of Bodog.

Despite the great success he has achieved he really remains quite a humble individual to his circle of friends.

Has he made some mistakes and some decisions he regrets?

ABSOLUTELY!

Who hasn't?

For all the naysayers and do gooders who have personal and business agendas against Calvin Ayre or anyone else in this world it would do us all good to remember this.

"Let he who is without sin caste the first stone..."

Peace...

Fusz04, nice 1st post, lol, why not post under your regular name?? Anyway with that aside, I dont think anyone dislikes Calvin or if anyone wants to see bad things happen to him, but speaking for myself people would like to see him tone it down and not bring this Unwanted attention to our industry, we are fighting an uphill battle as it is and these antics just make it worse.

If this post is true(and that's a big IF) and they were filming the reality show.It wouldn't be past them to set this whole thing up for the publicity knowing it's just a bust about a friendly poker game.

Joey, Living in CR for 18 months, u dont set this kind of thing up with CR authorities, they dont have a sense of humor. It wasnt set up at all and why have a fake arrest when you were just on the Cover of Forbes magazine????? Not gonna get anymore positive press then that.

I didn't mean set it up that way, I meant have a friend call in the complaint about the poker game. When people are flying this high above the radar I think anything is possible. Most times they think they are bigger than life.

funny to read through some of the differences in translation

one calls it a 'rap party', while another called it a 'wrap party'
