Default Just got back from a one month Vegas vacation!

Just my observations and comments

No totals for 1st half on NBA and NCAA games
Second half totals always have 1/2 point
Sportsbooks like MGM, Stardust, Venetian, Ceasars, Palms, Wynn are STILL in business. It was so crowded during last Supebowl
MGM got best soup and hotdogs right beside a sportsbook
Single deck 21 is the best table to play for players on wagaer $50 and above
Playing baccarat at Mirage is still the place to go. They comp you really good
Excalibur got the best COMP in betting sportsbook. Actually, it is the only one the gives one
Hooters is one of my favorite places to hang out while away from sports betting
Never play Don't Pass at craps table when most of the players are drunk.
Casino War is the worst cards game
Pai Gow could get you a good comp since the game goes back and forth a lot of times
Tony Romas at Stardust still got the best ribs
Mandalay Bay a good poker room
Cheapest motel I'd ever found Knight's Inn at the back of Howard Johnson Mc Carran ($32 a night on weekdays)
Best hotel I'd ever stayed Venetian ($380 a night on weekends)
Hookers along the strip and inside the hotels are so easy to find. Anywhere from $150 to $400 per hour (of course depending on the quality)
Monte Carlo got a good steak house.
Jobs in Vegas most especially Casino work are so easy to get.
5,000 people migrating every month
2,000 people leave every month( from weather dislike to gambling problem)
Construction jobs are non stop and would never stop
Nursing jobs still in demand
Banks, loan and mortgage jobs still depends on experienced.
IT jobs not much
Foods still cheap but not as cheaper before when it was run by mobs. Bigger corporations came in and all they wanted is PROFIT!

Stage Deli at the MGM is spot on. Add a little Krispy Kreme and coffee for breakfast and then stumble over to Fatburger after the book closes and call it a day.

I like to lay in my pool during the day sipping on drinks that have umbrellas!

If Tony Roma's is the best barbecue---I wonder how much one of the casinos would charge me for putting in a Arthur Bryants or Gates Kansas City Barbecue??

I could smoke ribs and meat all night---feed Ronbets and get some winners from him

the stage delis in las vegas are an embarassment to the ny deli that bears it's name (even more with the carnegie deli in the mirage). how can such fine establishments let these places soil their name?

most places will give you a comp valued at your average bet for every 8 hours of play

play 8 hours at $50/hand, get a $50 comp after the 8 hours

To some of these professional eaters 8 hours might be considered a hunger strike.

what's the comp rate at excalibur sportsbook? by parlayin

I don't really call it a comp rate! They give two free drinks in every $100 bet! So far so good! I meant any drink!
