Default What will Peppers status do to the Panthers?

If he can't play

I can't believe this line is in a free fall with DeShawn Foster and Julius Peppers problems.

Peppers is tough to substitute for---

I think its as simple as 0 respect for the Seahawks and what they achieved this year. Plus you got Fox out game planning each playoff coach so far.

I don't think Foster means that much, but Peppers does. I make the game Seattle -3 -125 with Peppers and 4.5 without him. Either way, 6 was too high of an opener IMO. Carolina has shown that they have no fear of the road in the playoffs.

I agree with the Fox comment.

Seattle is way under rated---all they do is take care of business.

Tough road trip for Carolina at New York, at Chicago and all the way across the country to Seattle.

Don't forget 2 years ago they beat Dallas at home, won in OT at St Louis and then won convincingly at Philly. So far in 2 playoff games they have been the better team on the road in both tilts and it really hasn't been close. Seattle does get it done, but I would never, ever lay more than a FG with this team. They just aren't dominant enough in any phase of the game.

What's the update on Peppers? Has he been ruled out of the game or is he just doubtful for now?

Carolina played the totally beat up Giants, and one of the worst teams to ever make the playoffs in The Bears. They gave up 21 points to them, which should alarm their backers, and some guys got beat up physically. I respect Carolina and Fox alot, but now they are playing a real team, with a big time coach and QB, without their 2 best RB's(Goings is adequate at best), and possibly their best defender(I think Pepers will play). 3 straight road games, including a cross country trip doesn't help matters. Seattle also has an extra day of rest. To me, this has potential blowout written all over it, and the low line is very nice. And I was all over Carolina against the horrible Bears, but time to change trains.

If you cant spot the value in this one, time to give up gambling.

Now it just needs to cash.

One thing that troubles me a little with Seattle is it seems like the team with the off field incident before the big game usually loses.

If memory serves:

The Dolphins in the 80's had i think Stanley Wilson coke out before one of their Superbowls and got killed.

The Raiders with Barrett Robins tijuana vacation got beat as a favorite vs Tampa Bay.

Atlanta as a dog did not cover vs Denver, Eugene Robinson and his Ho the night before.

Nick Harper gets stabbed, Peyton Manning chokes last week.

Those are the only 4 NFL games that come to mind.

Looks like Seattle has a player in a similar situation.
