| Ok here is the situation a few days back i was under the impression that big ben was confirmed to play. Guess i shouldn't put so much stock in the word of mike and mike in the morning. I post pitt as my goy with a line of +7. I actually haven't made the bet yet. Yes i play every game i post but this time i made the mistake of posting in mw before i made the bet. By this time i notice the line is creeping up. It moves to 7.5 Now suddenly it is 9. So that brings me to another question in my pick thread should i leave it as is or should i change it to match my actuall pick when i do make the play? Clearly i'm gona bet the +9 and not +7 plus if ben ends up not playing it will be a reduced bet. |

| Roethlisberger expects to play through pain NFL.com wire reports PITTSBURGH (Nov. 23, 2005) -- Now that Ben Roethlisberger is back, the Pittsburgh Steelers can only hope the rest of their offense returns with him. Roethlisberger ran the offense in practice for the first time in nearly a month after missing three consecutive games and four of six with knee injuries. He still has pain after needing right knee surgery Nov. 3, but not nearly as much as in past weeks. "It feels like an eternity since I've been out there," Roethlisberger said. "I can't wait to get out there and get on the field so the guys know I'm back, and hopefully I'm back to stay for a while." And what about the knee? "The doctors are telling me it looks good," said Roethlisberger, who initially hurt the knee in the season opener and has been bothered by the injury since. "As long as I keep telling myself it feels good, I'll be OK." Roethlisberger's return comes exactly when the Steelers (7-3) need him the most, with key games against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 28 and the Cincinnati Bengals (7-3) and Chicago Bears (7-3) to follow. Clearly, it's the pivotal stretch of the season as the Steelers and Cincinnati compete for the AFC North title. |

| Ogre, I love PItt in this game if Ben plays, I do not understand the line movement. My numbers show Indy by 4. I found this from rotoworld: Ben Roethlisberger (knee) will start Monday night against the Colts. Big Ben has missed the past three games with the ailment. He's been listed as probable all week. Tommy Maddox will be the backup, and Atwaan Randle El will likely be the emergency quarterback. Roethlisberger is a decent play in a possible AFC Championship preview. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette I am locking in the 9 today, I cannot see the line going any higher. Also, if the Count reads this I know he has a stat about a team averaging over 30pts for 3 weeks in a row, but i can't remember exactly what it was. The Colts have averaged over 30pts for 7 weeks in a row, which is amazing. However, it has been against mostly inferior competition. The only defense that they have seen that is close to the steelers is the Jags D, and they scored 10 points. I am looking for a score of around 21-17 |

| Pitt is in BIG trouble without Big Ben ! I think Cinci is clearly a creampuff contender, but they have th easy ride to the Division title. Tied going into today, Pitt gets: @ Indy = L, Cinci = W, Bears = ?, @ Minn = formerly an easy W- now ?, @ Cle = W, Det = W But the Bungles get: Cle = W, @ Det = W, St. Loo = W, Pitt = L, @ Balt = W, Chi = ? And the AFC West is charging... as at least Denver & SD could keep rolling every week. That stumble v.s. the Ravens could prove very costly.
