Most looters in the area seem to be black-it makes sense since it appears most who ignored the evacuation are black.

TA, did you ever think that they had nowhere to go or no means to get them there? What is the percentage of black people to white people in NO? I would presume that it is overwhelming black. How can you come to the conclusion that it appears that the most people who ignored it are black when most of the people living there are black? I saw a lot of white people there. Maybe more than the demographic percentage. Maybe its the whites that are the problem?

Am I missing something here?

People have lost everything they own, so they're just getting some of it back. Where is the National Guard? Where is the help? Where is the law and order? New Orleans is like a scene out of Escape From New York and nobody's doing a fukking thing but talk about how we have to "do something".

But no one cares about Americans anyway, especially the black ones. We got other priorities, like making sure Iraqis have schools and hospitals (while ours are crumbling) and the manpower that should be assisting with these national disasters in our own country are being used to ensure that our miserable failure scumbag (p)resident and his cronies (Cheney, Halliburton, Bechtel, Carlisle Group) can continue to steal hundreds of millions of dollars a day.

or do you like him think we are seeing a jaded view of the news and they are purposefully not showing white looters?

damn racist photographers, I am sure there is some man sitting in a white ivory tower in the midst of the hurricane insuring that the everything is viewed in the worst possible light-

in the meantime-

note every GETTY picture in the slide show avoids using the word looting whereas every other vendor uses it liberally.

It's clear to anyone without their head stuck in their ass that it is true. Where is the help for our own people? Nowhere... they are just gonna let New Orleans and the people in it rot until they die from typhus or west nile. We're rebuilding other countries (which we destroyed in the first place) while allowing ours to crumble. War is nothing but a racket used by the Ruling Class to enrich themselves at everyone else's expense. In Iraq making sure that they have "democracy" i.e. another Iran where the America-hating Ayatollah screwballs run the country.
