You can't call from Jersey, RUG, they have devices now that only allows you I believe a 30 mile radius from Vegas..that would mean someone else would have to place the wagers for you whenever you'd like, I have a guy in Tahoe who does the stuff for me

The phone system for betting is pretty damn good. If you've got a Vegas cell phone, with a 702 number, and cross over the border into Arizona, the sportbook phone will reject the call (and this was several years ago).

You might be able to trick it with one of those Internet phone systems.

Or, much more simply, just donate the 1 Dime to the two casinos and save yourself the extra effort of doing all that betting.

I believe starting July 1st (or thereabouts) one can open up an account with a Nevada casino and wager on pari-mutuel race events as long as you're in a state that permits pari-mutuel wagers as well. As far as betting sports is concerned....fuhgetaboutit! JJ will have to call the person who sets up the account and that person will have to make the plays. In this case you lose either way. JJ will have to have the Las Vegas person sign up for his out-of-state account as well just to bet the horses. Such a tangled web he weaves!
