Those are amazing pictures. Did anyone see the video? There's a guy walking toward the camera as the storm moves in. By the time he's on par with the camera, it's like nighttime. I've read that sometimes these storms last for days and paralyze entire areas.

Kind of reminds me of Mt St Helens ash, except that was higher in the sky. You could still see the blue sky around the horizon, but the rest of our sky filled with clouds of ash like black scrambled eggs roiling, and people were freaking. I have a few snapshots someplace.. if I ever find the right shoebox I'll scan them.
