Default Anyone use those cell phones that Walmart sells?

You know, the ones that come in a package, then you buy a card with minutes prepaid for like 10c a minute....

Are these a good deal?
How do you know what your number is?
Is there anyway to know who owns these?

In answer to your question:

Depends- you can find better deals than 10 cents a minute but have to sign a contract
The number is located in the packages
Nope

Its really good if you need to be anonymous or want to keep switching numbers every couple of weeks.

I like to lay in my pool during the day sipping on drinks that have umbrellas!

Ironlock, id look into the Virgin Mobile pre-paid ones (not sure if wal mart carries them but Rite Aid does). You can register the phone over the web and they even let you pick the initial area code. Plus, Virgin Mobile piggy-backs on the Sprint PCS network, so the coverage is decent and the phones are completely anonymous - you never have to chat with any operators or anything during the initiation or time refill periods.
