hosed. #4 ? They could have been a 1. They would be favored against everyone in their bracket except for Wake(probably pkem). How is Gonzaga seeded higher? They have a nice team but their league is no comparison to Conf USA. And Louisville wins the regular season and the tourney. What a joke

You should have bookmakers make the brackets.

Louisville did everything they were supposed to this year other than beat Memphis @ Louisville. Should have been a 2 instead of Kentucky.

Love Gonzaga though, they go along way in this deal.

Huh? Comparable records, SEC the tougher conference, and Kentucky won at Louisville.

My guess is that Louisville's non-conf. schedule was crap and Gonzaga's wasn't quite as crappy.

I'm a West Coast guy (went to Pepperdine). I'm well aware of how good Gonzaga has been throughout the years...the crappy remark was a sarcastic one at that.

An amazing thing happens when the east coast guys go to bed, some teams keep playing. Gonzaga is tough. Turiaf is solid and they got this guy that looks like Jim Morrison who is dynamite at guard.

They beat Oklahoma State at Oklahoma City and they beat Geo Tech when they were playing good in December.

Conference USA was quite weak this year. Perhaps Louisville and Zaga both should have been 3s. Zaga probably benefited from past slights. Pitino not the most popular coach in the world.

Maryland a non-tourney team beat Duke twice...Duke #1 seed...North Carolina got beat by non-touney team Santa Clara...NC #1 seed...Illinois got beat by Ohio State...yada yada yada...

You're probably right. As much as I love NC, they could have easily been replaced with Wake.

Wake beat NC earlier in the year. Wake did get blown out by Illinois, but then again, who hasn't?...LOL...Wake lost by 1 to GT in an epic 102-101 OT thriller. If the committee dropped them because of their loss to FSU (way back in Jan), in OT, then that's pretty screwed. That was the game where Wake had made 50 straight free throws and poor Downey missed a FT with 4 seconds left that probably would have won the game for them. They lost to Duke but that should have meant nothing. The loss to NC State w/o Paul was a given. At the time, NC State needed to win to make the tourney...who knows how they make their decisions but it always seems that some team gets screwed one way or another.

IMHO, Wake got screwed moreso than Louisville.

Albuquerque is a crapshoot. Washington is a dog to Wake, Louisville and maybe Ga Tech. And they are only small favorites against Gonzaga, Texas Tech, West Va. and Pitt. Any of the 1st 7 seeds and Pitt could win that region. This will definitely be the region that makes or breaks alot of brackets. I have a sleeper in that region that I plan on riding as long as they are still alive. I will not reveal them until later in the week.
