Default surfin joe, how did Chris Leben get knocked off Ultimate Fighter?

I thought for sure that he'd be one of the last men standing. Now I see he's gone.

I only caught one episode, but I think this is what happened.

Chris had been acting like a punk the whole time....a couple guys wanted to get back at him and they poured some water on him when he was sleeping....Chris and one of the guys that got him with the water had to fight to see who would go home. He had to fight the black guy with the blonde hair.

Chris was suppost to win according to everyone, but the other guy pretty much just took Chris to the ground at will and wasted the 2 rounds away. Chris had a couple chances to do some damage when they were on their feet, but he was never really able to get anything done.

Josh Koschek did Chris in. He and Southworth need to know that if you are held down and controled, you will lose. Josh controlled Chris completely. Chris did nothing. Josh didn't do much either, but he took Chris down repeatedly and held him. The only thing Chris did was have a chance at an armbar, but it didn't work. He thew no effective punches... nothing. It was a good call to get him off the show.

Same with Bobby. Shawn controlled him, outboxed him, took him down, etc. These idiots who think they can "knock someone out" should either get into boxing or K-1. They shouldn't think that just because a grappler controls you that they shouldn't win. They can think it's boring all they want. MMA is about winning a fight be any means possible.

I thought Chris was a lot more active in his fight vs Koscheck. He threw a lot more punches than Josh did. He couldn't drop bombs in the standup because it would be handing away the takedown. In 2 RDs, it's easy for a wrestler to LayNPray a striker like that. A very boring fight.

I also thought that Stephan beat Bobby. You can't be running backwards like that the whole fight and expect to win a fight as close as that was.

I think that Sanchez and Bonnar will end up winning. Griffin could also win if he wins against Alex S this week. Diego is the best overall fighter on the show now that Quarry is on the "DL".

In the Chris/Josh fight I thought going in that Chris would handle him easy. However, I didn't think Chris did much of anything. Neither did Josh, but he did control him. Chris blew a big chance. 2 5-minute rounds or not, you have to do what you do best to try and get the win. Even without throwing big punches it seemed Chris was always wide open for the shoot. Easy double leg takedowns performed almost at will don't look good to judges. Grapplers will beat sluggers for the most part and you can't be such an easy takedown target like Chris was. Chris' only chance was to throw the big strike or submit him. He had a decent chance at an armbar, but he didn't pull it off and to be honest, it wasn't that scary. Chris needs some serious ground work if he ever wants to make it to the next level. Josh will be taken out shortly by anyone with any sprawling skills that can punch. He too is worthless as far as top flight MMA is concerned.
