First college game I ever saw featured Walt Abdul Rakhman Hazzard and Gail "Stumpy" Goodrich in the same UCLA backcourt in the first of 10 Wooden championship years.

The most entertaining to watch was the Florida State three-guard lineup with Bob Sura, Sam Cassell, and Charlie Ward.

Lethal Weapon 3 - Kenny Anderson, Dennis Scott, and Brian Oliver. Zero inside game. You will be hardpressed to mention any point guard who was better in his freshman years in the last 20 years than Anderson. My favorite college player ever, even moreso than Carmelo Anthony. Pretty pathetic the headcase he became. That team had no inside game period and were fun to watch. Kind of like this St. Joe's team.

Honorable mention - Hunt and Anthony, Day and Mayberry, Padilla and Travieso, Corchiano and Monroe, Jameer and Delonte

Arkansas with 40 minutes of hell were #2 exciting team besides Vegas. The Running Rebels were #1. Larry Johnson, Plastic Man Augmon, Anthony floor leader, Hunt the 3 point shooter and guys like Ackles, that nut Scurry and Butler. They had flair and style. They didn't even pretend like they weren't cheating. They had an aura not duplicated in the college game. As much as I DESPISE Duke, I will remember both tournament games they played. I will remember the upset more than the national championship game. Speaking of guards, Hunt and Anthony were huge in that game and f*cking Larry Johnson got stopped by Greg Koubek!!!!!!!!! Before you start quoting people who played 100 years ago, please note, I have been following college hoops since about 1985, but the classic sports highlights of that Louisville/Houston game with Phi Slamma Jamma and the Doctors of Dunk was great. It was such a great and fun game. College hoops sucks now, but St. Joes and UConn are the most fun teams to watch IMO in this tournament and felt bad for that backcourt when they lost to OSU today as they played their hearts out. Ben Gordon is awesome and doesn't get the accoloades he deserves.
