Default Hitting rock bottom

I have done it again.
After an unbelievable run in the NCAA bowl games, I have depleted all of my accounts.
I am officially on the shelf.
Luckily I wd some money after the USC game, as I am in the middle of a major home improvement project.

What can I say? It is almost a peaceful feeling, knowing I took a shot, got a few shots of my own in, and finally was choked unconscious with out submitting.

I will continue to research the MAAC conference and attend as many games as possible. This way when I am back my feet again I can get right back into the game.

Humility is a rare commodity. My hat's off to ya. Good luck in the future.

Sorry to hear you're out. Were you taking the go big or go home approach with your unit size? Will you approach it different next time?

I just started running bad.
Every time I sent it in, I lost.

An 0-4 night, with the last game being the lakers +3.5 last night sealed my fate.

Money management is the key. I was really focused. But I will go even more easy next time I start going cold.

Dago George, humility is a strange quality. As soon as you think you've got it, you've lost it.

Reno-Are you saying when we are humbled by anything, we might not be? Perhaps if one is pompous in their humility.

Money management is the key.

I asked because people gamble for different reasons, some play for fun and throw some cash down and try to take a shot. If thats not what your doing going 0-4 in one night shouldn't take you out, even if you've had a bad streak. You obviously know where you went wrong. Good luck on your return...

I would suspect that nearly everyone here at MW has busted out at some time or another. Learn from your mistakes and you'll come back stronger.

Money Mgt. and knowing your limits are very important factors. I discipline myself to a particular unit and stay there 90 +% of the time. Only if critical info comes in or... the wish to jump up higher on " The Big Game " ( S.B. ) affects my monetary discipline. And yes, I know it shouldn't.

Good luck on your return Victory. If you only have a few plays a night, it's easy to wean yourself off gambling. Recently, I met somebody with 40-50 plays nightly- player not book ! Now, that's one serious jones to go cold turkey- which he is attempting to do. Much harder, imho.

Only played a few games a night, sometimes none.
While the research is still being conducted, there will definitley be a major void in my nights.

I am thinking about getting into produce as a hobby.
Going to various stores, markets and wholesalers looking for the freshest and most deliscious fruits and vegetables.
I will share my knowledge as comes in.

You mentioned "almost a peaceful feeling". Maybe the whole obsessiveness that capping
and betting sports can induce was draining you,and now it feels like a relief to be done with it.
Now you can redirect your focus onto something you enjoy in a different way.
Best of Luck

Victory - I can totally relate. Unlike you, I took an absolute bath during the bowl season. A successful college football season down the drain.

That's a very accurate description. I get it towards the end of football season every year. I have NO idea how you bases & baskets mutants (every night) handle it.

Its a grind like anything else Joey.

Foodworld on East Main St. is hands down the best in town. They go right to the source, no middleman.

I have an outside shot at collecting some old money in a few weeks, so I may not be shelved for as long as I originally thought.
Plus some of my golf plays that I put in before I went broke are looking good.

I will let you know if I stumble on any hidden gems in NYC, while I continue my produce quest.
