| I am a Rookie Poker Player, I can hold my own but make many mistakes. I dont know stats of most poker games but at the Holiday Beach in Curacao they play the sickest games ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of Degenerate Gambers with Tons of cash at these games, I am a rookie but I consider myself good at these games. Playing 10-20 Texas Hold'em Avg Pot was $500 for a good 2 hours, 8 way action pre flop with a cap raise 75% of the time, I even won a $800+ pot in this 10-20 game. I know these figures are high, but how high are they??? Can anyone fill me in on avg pots in a normal 10-20 game, players pre-flop and players after river??? Peckle can vouch for the ridiculous games down there, he wasnt there last night for the biggest ever but he has seen some retarded games! |

| SHOEBOX... the average pot for an online 10=20 game will be around 130 to 160 depending on the site/ time of play and such....live play will be slightly more due to the greater fish factor. Players prefop varies greatly as with the texture of the game....ie,, how much limping and preflop raising are taking place. I would say live 4 to 5 average take the flop with between 2 and 3 seeing the river. Dont make the msitake of confusing online 10-20 to live.. Some online 10-20 games can be very very hard at times.. while i have basically never seen a particularly hard 10-20 live game in my life.... This sounds like a great game for you,, but i would say the action was way higher than normal to answer your question. congrats on the nice score.. robin |

| With games like that there is one thing you will have to keep in mind though. There will be periods of time when you just cant buy a pot. There will be people making worst calls than Dungy, Martz and Herm combined and STILL win the pot!!! But if you can play in games like that all the time, you can quit your "day job" easily

| "There will be periods of time when you just cant buy a pot." Small Daddy, LMAO, Periods??? TRY EVER, LOL. THere wasnt one pot bought the entire night, its amazing. I wish I were a better player, I could retire. Its tough losing with a-k suited to 2-4 offsuit with a cap raise pre-flop, lol, it doesnt phase me at all anymore, I understand the way they play and have to deal with those bad beats. They literally will pay $40 to see a flop with 2-4 offsuit! |

| I actually ran simulations vs this kind of field. And one conclusion I had is that one pair( however high it might be) wont be enough at the end(to show profit) if 7+ people start out on the flop You pretty much need straights and flushes anything else is "uncivilized"

| Based on your description, I am not quite sure if that is poker or casino war. I would not touch a game like that - too frustrating.

| Sounds like the typical $3-$6 game at almost any casino these days. Tons of ploppies who are there strictly for action.
