BG, I'm glad to hear that, I remember your post yesterday about your son washing your car. It is going to get down to 6 tonight in Okla!!! We are not used to that here....BRRRRR |

| We had 1/2 foot of snow followed by freezing rain and then some more snow and a bit more freezing rain. I almost had a heart attack shoveling our driveway (I think I need to invest in a snow blower). In fact snow was so heavy I moved most of it by picking up big chunks of ice with my hands. Strangely enough just to the east of us in Bowmanville (about 40 minutes east) was pure rain - not a flake. Same thing to the south - Buffalo and Rochester got just rain. |

That said, at least where you live, they have PLOWS! We got 3-4 inches, followed by freezing rain to put a nice layer of ice on top of everything. There isn't a plow in the state--we're stuck with this mess until it melts, and we don't expect to see the sunny side of 32 degrees for several days. When this crap came down Wednesday night, the entire staff where I work called in to say they weren't coming in--except for a few people, like me, who grew up in New England or Michigan or Wisconsin. We had no trouble at all. Everyone else shuttered themselves in their houses. |
