Default The Steroid Fallout

once the full list is leaked
what will be the reaction at ballparks next year?

I know these guys take alot of heckling as the norm day to day but its going to get ugly.

The fact that this came out is MLB's worst nightmare and now Bud Selig will do shit and pray it goes away.

MLB would never have got to the heart of the matter, it took a BALCO inquiry.

MLB's policy was a joke and will continue to remain a joke because they don't want a whole bunch of big name players to test positive. It would do worse harm to the game than the 94 strike and baseball would be in huge trouble if fan attendance took a swan dive.

Since most people dislike Barry anyway, they will continue to believe most other players are clean and I expect little or no change come next year.

Baseball would never survive the PR nightmare of large amounts of players testing positive.

Selig may be an idiot but he knows this and won't let the game go down in flames.

i dissagree...

i think this is an opportunity for baseball to grab the bull by the balls and kick those deltas off campus.

just get rid of all of them...period... test, test, test, and test some more... i'm sure with a little prodding, they could figure out a way to detect the "undetectable" .

if you show a positive, you're done for the year...no more cover ups. you got a chance to come back clean next year and show us all how talented you are clean. how fast your bat is. how acurate your pitches really are. how it is really possible to hit those, one handed, home runs every couple weeks.

while your gone, we'll have to watch the naturally talented kids that have been stuck in the minors for years because they refuse to attatch the syringe to their ass like you guys chose to do.

what a fukking concept...a naturally talented baseball player...

when i see pictures of willie mays or ted williams and their phisique it makes me sick. just image, IMAGINE, what numbers these guys would have put up if they were able to turn all those near misses into hits or home runs instead of foul or fly outs.

People will still pack Wrigley. 40,000 drunks don't care who's on steroids. People will still pack Fenway. People will still pack Yankee Stadium. I would guess people in Clevland would love to go see an up and coming team like the Indians who are rejuvenated. Small market teams will continue to have poor attendance. People said they were finished after the '94 strike and I would guess very few stuck to that stance. Salaries have skyrocketed since then. Apparently so has steroid abuse. And the gap between rich and poor has gotten way out of control. That won't change either as the players union is too strong. The only place I could see this hurting is TV ratings, but what are you going to watch during the summer anyhow? WNBA??? Baseball is a regional game except for the Cubs, Red Sox, and Yanks anyways. Not to mention there is no better rivalry in pro sports today than Yanks/Red Sox. And last 2 years of playoffs far outdo anything in the other sports leagues.

I am more interested in which NBA players are stoned during games. That would make the NBA fun to watch.
