Default #19 - this is seriously how I just got busted out of the poker tournament

I am 3 hours deep and have 20k in chips
On the BB with AQ

Button raises all in for 31k

I take a lot of time to think about it and even though I am a dog to any pair or AK, I decide to call since it was such a bizarre bet

he flips over 910o (everyone at the table laughs)

Flop is K J 4 rainbow

Turn is a 7

River is a lady

guys makes his straight

3rd straight time I have been busted out of a tourney 3+ hours deep (but pre cashin') by a Q

The guys name is Hambo711 and after taking my money he is now in 7th

If he wins, I will be sick

Now that's a bad beat. Hey buck, cardplayer dot com has a forum dedicated to nothing but poker. Check them out if you ever get a chance. I use the same handle Nighthawk over there.

Nice call with the AQ, Buck.

I don't usually call big BTF bets when I have AQ, but in this case, his supersized over bet is just SCREAMING weakness. People with AA don't try to blast everybody out of the pot.

Well played, sir.

after 6.5 hours of playing in a 1700+ entry at PS and we're heads up..... i have 1.2m he has 1.3m in chips. I'm BB with 34d he calls, flop comes 72A rainbow, he bets small so i decide to call and see one more card, turn is a 5 and my prayer is answered, he bets small again so i double it, he reraises so i go all in and he calls. He turns over a pair of deuces and i'm thinking that i have finally won one of these damn things......river is another fukkin 5!!!

I have been overbetting AA preflop alot lately and am amazed at the calls, I suspect it is this train of logic that is making it such a lucrative play.

If I pick up a premium hand, and just took a bad beat the hand before, I push in, and almost always get called by somebody with K7, or even T9, who thinks I'm tilting.

I bet $1500 tonight into a $50 BB and he called with Q2

His final hand: Full house deuces over queens

I was bitching about this Sunday - I got called by KQ during the $200+ Stars game with bullets

I bet $1200, he raised to $2400

I moved all in for like 13k and he called IMMEDIATELY

I am starting to believe these reward the lunatics theories

Hey, go back to the Day One video of this year's WSOP, when Norman Chad called KQ, "...one of the very best hands you can have in no-limit hold'em."

When an expert like Norman Chad tells you it's a great hand, "one of the very best", how can you lay it down?
