Default Man wins $400K judgement against Vegas strip casino

Gambler Wins Dispute With Strip Casino
11-05-2004 7:27 AM

(Las Vegas, NV) -- A gambler has won a $400 thousand judgement against a Las Vegas Strip casino. The "Review-Journal" says a jury found that so-called "advantage" gambler James Grosjean had his rights violated, when security guards at the Imperial Palace detained him and threatened to beat him. The incident happened in April 2000, after Grosjean was playing blackjack at the casino. He was accused of cheating, but Grosjean says he took advantage of legal means to gain an edge, including card counting and taking advantage of a dealer's mistakes. The Nevada Supreme Court has ruled that such "advantage gambling" is legal.

I was wondering if the dealer's mistake was not trying to mess up the guy counting with early shuffles.

in the other article, it mentioned something about seeing the dealer's hole card. the dealer probably un-intentionally was showing his hole card.

This is what happened. A few years ago, Grosjean published a book called, "Beyond Counting" which specifically outlines these techniques...aka holecarding. Great book, but out of print and tough to find. Glad I have my copy.

If you find the right dealer on the right game.......$$$$
