I don't know which was worse and worse. No call on illegal hit slash pass interference or a blow to Tom Brady's jersey call.

The NFL enabled refs to rob the Saints of a Super Bowl berth

I also hate the fact games can come down to a coin toss - especially in the playoffs. The proposal I like is to add a 5th 15 minute period - kind of like they do in soccer. If it's still tied at that point then it becomes sudden death. You can also add a rule that if either side goes up by 9 points in the extra period the game ends at that point. As for penalties, allow teams to challenge any calls in the playoffs.

Had N.O. Sure I thought it was P.I. but it's the NFL. Enjoyment bets only for playoffs. So I didn't enjoy it after that......lmao

Agree with Hartley regarding O.T. In playoffs.

As for the penalty challenges I see 3 options:

1- Let any call be challenged with the current rules

2- Let any major foul that results in a 15 yard penalty be challenged (pass interference, roughing the passer, roughing the kicker, illegal chop block etc.)

3. Make a rule that any 15 yard penalties are automatically reviewed by the booth, similar to tds and turnovers). If it's obvious then it will just be to play on. If it's questionable then review it.

What happened is the controversy about that ref doing the game that was 0-8 with Lambs caused the no call. I believe the script was to not call anything controversial against the Lambs where people will think confirms the bias. So you get to that PI play, a flag puts the Saints at 99%. The ref, remembering the script, hesitated throwing the flag. Had the Saints receiver faked a concussion, the flag would have been thrown. Because he popped back up,the ref kept the flag in his pants.

It is why the ref will not be disciplined harshly. Cannot afford the script getting leaked. This, not Russian collusion, is what Mueller should investigate.

For the Brady roughing call, there is no excuse. Only possible innocent mistake is facemask. Would have been 3rd down. Probably convert and score anyway.
