Jeez Tin. Dont you know how this type of thing is done. First you msn Major to see if he likes the play. If he does then you do a post announcing that you and he both like it. Then inquire if they would like you to realease it. It builds the drama to astonomical proportions. Then a few detractors will jump in and the hits will just keep coming. You release the play and then debate starts.

Fishhead 101.

P.S. The only difference with Major is he won't let you on his boat if the play loses.

No, what you do now is if the game loses- you say I had concerns about the weather so I took Iowa State on the moneyline and had them on the first half and parlayed the first half with the under so I won a little.

Or you say when the line went to two I doubled up on Iowa State.

Or you just say it's one of the 35% of your games that lose.

"Lakewood PK vs. Dorsey"

You gotta be kidding. The Lakewood Lancers? I ran a 57.9 440 in the tenth grade there, best outside the track team in school history at the time. I had an incentive. Some phucker named Preston beat me wrestling 8 to 4. I couldn't get around him. He kept leveraging his height some how. He was my competition at the track and I paced behind him second until the homestretch whereby I smoked his wilting sorry ass.

Coach wanted me on track but I wouldn't cut my hair so it didn't work out.

From the technical standpoint:

KU:
2-28 SU on Conf Rd
1-17 ATS last 9 years in Final 2 Road games of season

ISU:
15-72 SU vs team who beat them in previous meeting
1-14 ATS last 15 Big 12 games
0-10 ATS last 10 as Conf Home Dog

Boy if all I ever came up with in my research were matchups like this, I'd have to find a real job
Fortunately, some games come up way more one-sided.

I tossed a few dollars on Iowa St, no particular reason other than I had the game closer to PK.

My card for today:

ASU+17
LaMonroe+8
UTEP-15
OKState+12.5
BowlingGreen-30
IowaSt+4

Best of luck folks, I didn't get the greatest numbers in the world this week as I am satisfying rollover for a contest account, and havebeen busy with the BC.

I was on this game too. I didn't see this happening. Bad game for KU.

Brutal game....it was essentially over when the starting QB went out in the 2nd quarter. Bad beat after bad beat.

AMES, Iowa (AP) Defensive tackle Brent Curvey scored on a fumble return for the second straight game and Bret Culbertson kicked two field goals, lifting Iowa State to a 13-7 victory over Kansas on Saturday.

Both offenses struggled on a raw, windy day, but Iowa State (4-4, 2-3 Big 12) made enough plays on defense and in the kicking game to forge its first two-game winning streak since starting the 2003 season with two straight victories.

Along with Curvey's 30-yard return, the Cyclones intercepted three passes and blocked a punt.

Kansas (3-5, 1-4) lost starting quarterback Adam Barmann to a shoulder injury midway through the second quarter and didn't score until Jason Swanson, the second replacement quarterback, hit Mark Simmons on a 20-yard touchdown pass with 3:04 left.

Iowa State was leading 3-0 when Barmann left the game with his right shoulder sagging and his arm limp after a 4-yard scramble. He was replaced by Brian Luke, who was making his first appearance of the season, and the results were disastrous for the Jayhawks.

Luke was sacked by Brandon Brown on his third play and fumbled when Shawn Moorehead sacked him on the next play. As Curvey closed in to help, the ball bounced up, the 6-foot, 300-pounder grabbed it with his right hand at the Kansas 30 and rumbled untouched to the end zone.

On a 65-yard fumble return in a victory over Baylor a week ago, Curvey dove into the end zone and was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct. He went in standing up this time, making it 10-0 with 6:17 left in the half.

That would be enough on this day, even though the Cyclones totaled only 192 yards. Stevie Hicks managed to grind out 110 yards in 30 carries and did some hard running on a 15-play, 40-yard drive that used up almost seven minutes and led to Culbertson's 34-yard field goal, which made it 13-0 with 2:27 left in the third quarter.

Culbertson also connected from 22 yards in the first quarter and gave a lift to Iowa State's maligned kicking game. He took over the field goal duties after two other kickers were a combined 3-fo1.

Todd Blythe's punt block set up the first field goal. Blythe, a starting wide receiver, streaked in from the right side to block Kyle Tucker's kick, giving Iowa State the ball on the KU 8. But the Cyclones managed only 4 yards in three plays and had to call on Culbertson, who drilled a perfect kick as coach Dan McCarney watched nervously from the sideline.

Kansas, which had just 208 total yards, got an early break when Charles Gordon intercepted Bret Meyer's pass on the game's first series. The Jayhawks stalled after driving to the Iowa State 28 and Johnny Beck was wide left on a 28-yard field goal attempt.
