Trump: Backing up another election promise to eliminate the deficit..

Quote:
Florida Senator Marco Rubio admits that the Republican tax cut plan to aid corporations and the wealthy will require cuts to Social Security and Medicare to pay for it.

Rubio told reporters this week that in order to address the federal deficit, which will grow by at least $1 trillion if the tax plan passes, Congress will need to cut entitlement programs such as Social Security. Advocates for the elderly and the poor have warned that entitlement programs would be on the chopping block, but this is the first time a prominent Republican has backed their claims.

Entitlement?

Social security is OUR Fcking money. WE paid in. Biggest fcking ponzi scheme ever. They should find the first politicians that agreed to touch the social security fund, and put them in jail for embezzlement.

actually the way social security was set up initially the idea was today's workers contribute dollars to pay for today's retired people. when you retire others are supposed to contribute to you. it wasn't set up as and actual 'trust account'. so really it isn't your money in an account.

i agree with m triple 7, end entitlements.

I would like to income taxes go away, and have a national sales tax. It would also capture more taxes from tourism. Make it simple.

The wealthy by more expensive stuff, so they pay more taxes. The poor buy less stuff,so they pay less taxes.

I'm in favor of user fees like gas tax. Those that use the roads pay for them.

I was hoping Donald would start cleaning house in the federal government. Strip it down. Accountability. Treat the place like a business. Cut the fat. Work on the budget and the deficit, and the corruption.

Me too, instead it looks like he's gonna run it into the ground like when he filed for bankruptcy 8 times.
