It shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I'll try and check before gametime. He did give up a run in the first and second inning against Houston but they know him pretty well. I'm more worried about him pitching on 3 days rest. He hasn't looked very good recently and the 3 days can't help.

| Not sure how teams do facing him for the first time, but he clearly isn't as sharp early on as he is later in the game. Pitches 1-15 and 16-30 are his two worst 15 pitch breakdowns. | Also, his stuff hasn't been anything special lately, and he is mostly a power pitcher, where the 3 days rest could hurt. FWIW, I don't think Boston will have a hard time hitting him first time around. |

Gotta like the price on the Cards for this particular game. Not only does Schilling have to hope those sutures hold up, but he has to face this Cardinal lineup to boot. Morris' start is key here. Could be a close game. Going for the Cards and the over.

Red Sox will have no problem at all with these Cardinal pitchers. Yankees starters were more forminidable. Dont care what the regular season stats say. These guys "out" pitches dont scare me. Would be shocked if the Sox scored less than 6 in any game

clevfan, I think you're right. My thought would be more about how it might affect him mentally more than anything. Last game he said about the 6th inning he started thinking about it. I just don't think that fixing an injury in this manner is going to make him stronger, maybe "just" a little bit weaker. Could be wrong, just speculating here. Boston isn't going to lay down in any case. I feel that if the Sox win, it will almost certainly be an over and I could end up with a split even if I'm wrong. Dogs seem to payoff in the long run in situations like the one tonight.
