Default WSOP--The other side of Dutch Boyd?

Posted at the rx by a "newbie" named Beetman.........ugly stuff if true

"Russ "Dutch" Boyd is a thief. As CEO of pokerspot.com, and online poker site, Russ stole about $400,000 from his players. The site was in operation from roughly the summer of 2000 to the summer of 2001, and around January people started receiving excuses about why they weren't being paid, some checks bounced, etc. I personally was owed $5,000 from Pokerspot, and after being told my "check was in the mail" twice, it never came. Russ laid low for a while and has now re-emerged in the poker scene, bankrolling himself and other players on stolen money.

It amazes me that more people don't know about the Pokerspot debacle, but I guess there are a lot of poker players who've never played online or are relatively new to poker. As one of Russ's victims, I'd appreciate it if you'd spread the word about him as you would about any stiff sportsbook. Supposedly Russ has been wearing clothing with the logo of a new, as of yet unopened poker site.

For more information, I would suggest going to groups.google.com and search on "pokerspot" in the group "rec.gambling.poker," or perhaps go to twoplustwo.com and search on "pokerspot.""

TTinCO,

Everything you posted is correct. There is more to the story. Bad!

PokerSpot (Dutch Boyd) is equal to AcesGold in the poker world.

I'll post more later.

Is Dutch Boyd the guy who went to college at the age 12? I think I heard this on ESPN, but maybe I am confusing him with another player.

I heard that also Alec..........they also said he graduated Law School by 18. If this is true it seems like a waste of brainpower if you ask me.

Yes........the chip shuffle is pretty cool.......some of the other stuff they do is amazing.

This is the first year I've watched it live. Now I find myself watching the re-runs of previous years on The Travel Channel.

This bright kid will end up somebody's girlfriend, in prison, or dead, or both.

It will be a miracle if he lives to see 45.

Where can he go, and avoid that?

Costa Rica?

He will run out of bridges, and sooner or later someone will get off their ass at the FBI and nail him.

Rake sucks (monthly fee would be better assuming same number of players, which is a HUGE IF), but I can't imagine anyone is going to want to trust their money with him.

stevo - "This is the first year I've watched it live."

What are you referring to - WSOP? WPT?
How are you watching it live? You mean you're at the WSOP?
