While this is going on books continue to close their doors to Canadians... Ladbrokes did it today as of Oct 1st.

My hunch is that the feds are preparing to throw out PASPA and the major sportsbooks worldwide are getting out of grey markets so that they can look "squeaky clean" when they apply for U.S. licenses. I know for a fact that there's nothing on the books aimed at offshore gambling in Canada.

The new UKGC regulations require companies with at least 3% of their revenue from grey markets to justify why they can continue there. I guess Ladbrokes did and didn't care enough to start 'splainin. Bet365 already has a UKGC license never having moved offshore so I'm guessing they'll get a pass.
