I hope they end up someplace close by. It's been a while since I've gotten to travel to see them in an NCAA game.

Congrats!

Well, that closes out the 2017-18 version of the Uconn 1st half auto fade. While not the 22-2 type run we've seen some years, it was still profitable:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

1st half fade, ats 18-11
Full game fade, ats 19-10
Full game fade, ats (when Uconn is favored) 7-0.

Strt up, Uconn finished 7-11 in conference play, but interestingly won the 2nd half 12 times.

I think that might be 10 strt years below .500 1st half, ats.

Good luck in the tournament everyone.

I never have so much fun losing money. Some reason I just love atmosphere of March Madness.

The most fun I have losing money is playing craps. A high stakes poker tournament is a close 2nd.

Bet On Sports (online poker) used to run this $400 rebuy nightly. For a while they ran $10,000 guaranteed, and eventually realized they were losing money, so they dropped it to $8,000 guaranteed.

Friday and Saturday nights they would have about 20 some players, and with rebuys, it would exceed the guarantee, but the rest of the week we often had 10 - 13 players. It was sweet. Plus money. Sometimes with 10 or 12 players, some guys would have a stupid amount of rebuys and we would still get to 8k, but often times there was overage.

It usually paid $4,400 for first, $2,700 for 2nd, and $1,700 for 3rd. Once in while first topped $5,000 especially when it was 10k guaranteed.

I once cashed in that tourny 17 straight times. It was an incredible run.

I remember one of those 17, we were down to 3 of us. I had 4x more chips than the other two combined. I'm sitting there with like 20,000, and they each have about $2,500. I was just constantly coming over the top, and bleeding them off, as they struggled to see who would get 2nd, and the $700 bump.

Except back then, my internet was "dial-up". Suddenly I lost connection. I waited a few minutes to see if I could get it back, but couldn't. I desperately shut it off, and turned it back on, and waited what seemed like an eternity to gain internet connection again.

I knew in the interim what was happening. As soon as those two guys figured out I lost connection, they would be bleeding off my blinds in rapid succession. It was probably the most frustrating 10 or 15 minutes of my poker career. Go from a near guaranteed $4,700 to $1,700 because of a lost connection.

Sure enough, I get my connection back, and I'm down to one big blind. I actually won that hand with QQ, but was done on the next hand. So frustrating...

Or so I thought.

There was one step worse. The last time I won that tournament, and cashed $5,100, it put my bankroll at $5,600. I called Betonsports the next day to cash out 4k... you know where that phone call went. That was the day they arrested the CEO of BOS in Dallas (I think)... and never saw a dime of that money.

Part of the frustrating thing about that was, Betonsports, was one of 7 poker sites that were all melted into one. Doyles room was one of the 7. So when I win money, some of that money is coming from other legitimate sites, and funneling to betonsports. So i was actually helping them commit fraud. It was too their advantage to have good poker players on their site, because it would help them embezzle money.

That was the impetus for me moving to Doyles room. Todd Brunson, and his sister, who's name escapes me at the moment, used to sit in that $400 rebuy. It was fun to be on a first name basis (not that analyzer is my first name),with the Brunson kids.

Had I been thinking fast enough, even though I couldn't withdraw from BOS, I probably could've opened a doyles room site, and played a heads up sitngo between myself, and dumped my BOS funds to my Doyles room account. But I don't recall now if my BOS account was frozen or not.

Either way, that was a fun tournament. Sit there and win $1700-$5000 17 times in a row. It wasn't always pretty, I think after that run, I maybe went a week strt without winning. Seems like there was a cash out jinx. If I cashed out money, that bad beats would line up for a couple weeks.

BOS always took their sweet time paying me out. Then I realized they had spent all the money, and were using deposits to pay people their cash out.

Sorry, I'm rambling.

Crypto feels alot like Craps. I'm need about an hour roll to get back in black.

Come on baby. Hard 8.

i note in last night's NIT games they are using quarters not halves and as a result after 10 minutes they stop game flow. Plus there are now 2 additional opportunities to watch players dribble at half court for 25 seconds before tossing up an off balance 3 as the clock runs out as seems to be the go to play for at the end of half now can happen 3 times instead of just once. Genius move by those that like seeing basketball versus dribble and heave. Taking 30 or more seconds (as the slow down usually starts with a minute to play) and doing that twice the first 20 minutes seemed to create less scoring opportunities. looking at a few first half unders as a result
