Houston, we have a problem.

As you know, Uconn has failed to cover 9 of their last 12 first halves. However, encouraging the 1h auto fade, is a bit tough today, because Marquette has lost 8 of their last 11 first halves straight up.

Uconn is favored by 2 in the first half. Do these two trends mean Uconn wins the first half by ONE? Uconn doesn't cover, and Marquette loses the first half straight up?

You might be better off waiting until have time, and betting the golden eagles to take the 2nd half. They have won 10 of their last 11, straight up in the 2nd half.

5 dimes has a first 10 minute option. As much as I hate to promote 5 dimes, if any of you have that option, you might consider Uconn 1st 10 minutes -1 1/2, and Marquette 1h +2, and then put something on the Golden Eagles at half time. Otherwise just wait for the break and hammer Marquette.

==================

Earlier this week, I gave you a goofy play, where you took OU 1h and their opponent Texas for the game -3. Well, we're going to do it again today. This first half fade Texas, 2nd half bet texas, has been phenomenal, and today sets up perfect. I have shown you this

Texas 1h fade, 2h play...

@Ucla 28-34, 41-25
Temple 31-34, 46-31
@UNC 23-39, 40-43
@ISU 34-44, 37-33
OSU 21-21, 37-28
A/M 26-24, 35-27
@MIzz 30-43, 43-41
@Kstate 42-43, 38-41
Kansas 27-39, 39-30
ISU 28-22, 34-33
@baylor 29-38, 42-38
Mizz 22-27, 44-40
TTech 40-25, 34-32
@A/M 33-34, 37-34* (push 2h)
Kstate 27-40, 48-24
@Okla 28-33, 41-25
Something like 24-7-1 ats, fading tex 1h, and betting on them 2h, and I'm not really sure what the 2nd half line was on TT, Kstate, and UNC, they may have covered all of those 2nd halves. This run might be at 27-4-1 ish.

Oklahoma State has been killed by injuries and departures. Their coach said he's never seen anything like it. He's basically running a 5 man rotation. Only substituting when he absolutely has to for breaks. Against Iowa St for example their top 5 guys all had more than 36 minutes. Their 6th man had 8, and their 7th man just 4. In the Kansas game, every starter had 37 minutes, except Brown who had 40. So my theory is they'll be tired in the 2nd half. Although that theory could be challenged a bit, as they were blown out in the 1st half of both @Mizzou, and @ kansas, but outscored both opponents in the 2nd half.

nevertheless, I'm going to play it like this, and hope that I split, at worst. We got the sweep Tuesday:

Okie St 1H + 1 1/2
Texas full game -3.

=======================

Utah is the worst team in the Pac 12. Yes, even worse than the Trojans. Colorado is among the better teams. Those teams have been beating Utah convincingly. Colorado, who plays at 5400 ft elev, normally doesn't play real well on the road, where they get heavy/dead legs in the 2nd half. But it's tough for mountain boys to play at sea level. Just ask the Broncos. However, Salt Lake City is 4300 ft elev, and gives Utah little advantage. I see 15 or 16 point win for the buffs here.

Colorado -10

Arkansas hasn't lost at home in conference play, you might consider taking the 4 1/2. Although the gators are one of the few teams who play equally well on the road. They have already shown they can win @Tenn, @Cocks, @Ol' Milf, and @Bama... so go easy on this one, if at all.

alright, lets do it, Marquette 2nd half +5 1/2. They have won the 2nd half straight up 10 of last 11.

well, Oki st 1h came in, but Texas never got closer than 3 in the 2nd half. Kelton Page 20 for 20 from the charity stripe,and 40 points, that about sums it up.

Texas 1h fade, 2h play... now looks like this:

@Ucla 28-34, 41-25
Temple 31-34, 46-31
@UNC 23-39, 40-43
@ISU 34-44, 37-33
OSU 21-21, 37-28
A/M 26-24, 35-27
@MIzz 30-43, 43-41
@Kstate 42-43, 38-41
Kansas 27-39, 39-30
ISU 28-22, 34-33
@baylor 29-38, 42-38
Mizz 22-27, 44-40
TTech 40-25, 34-32
@A/M 33-34, 37-34* (push 2h)
Kstate 27-40, 48-24
@Okla 28-33, 41-25
Okie St 39-51, 39-39

Something like 25-8-1 ats, playing them to lose the first half, and win the 2nd ATS.

I just don't think those first half numbers are coincidence.

When you watch them play, they seem awfully athletic. You would think they'd have a chance to do some damage in the tournament.

I trade the gophers for them, and throw in Tubby.

It's sick really, betting Villanova. This line ought to be Uconn by 8 or more. They've just been laying down so much lately that Villanova is barely a dog.

Hopefully when Uconn finishes the first half on a 4 minutes scoring drought, Villanova won't follow suit, like Depaul and Seton Hall. Neither of those teams could make a bucket if they were standing on a ladder.
