Default ATTENTION SMOKERS....MW QUITTING DAY IS THIS TUESDAY (2004)
Minnow and myself have been talking today about how much we want to try quitting again, and have decided to go for it this Tuesday, would any of you be interested in joining us. We are also going to have a "support" thread where we can post to give one another support in our attempt to rid ourselves of this nasty habit.

Anyone who would seriously like to try to quit with us that day and forward, please sign in

My husband quit cold turkey and had 2 months under his belt, and started back up a couple of weeks ago. Even though I'd go outside and not smoke around him I can't help thinking I didn't help. He was using the marijuana maintenence program though.. No way I can do that. For one thing, after my first quit a couple years ago I gained 20 lbs in no time. So I am going to need to watch that as well as not smoke. For another thing weed makes me feel like crap nowadays.. last time I thought I was having a heart attack. Done with that too!

Anyway, my hubby is quitting too. This might not be a very happy home for.. how long? A week?

I've been trying to completely quit for the last 2 years...

I can go without a smoke for weeks and then one day I'd go buy a pack then go several weeks again not smoking...process keeps repeating itself going on 2yrs now.

When i quit smoking 4 years ago I also quit smoking pot. I had to. No chance I could have stuck to my quit otherwise.

Anyone wants a coach , I am available. Might be the hardest thing I ever did in my life. But like everything that is hard to achieve, the rewards are second to none.

Good luck to all...Stay strong.

I never smoked a cig in my life or had a cup of coffee.

My brother had triple bypass surgery and believed prior to the operation that the nytro pills made it easier to smoke.

He now still smokes and looks like he is 100..(actually 48). Death wish.

Now the veins in his legs are closing up and he has many blood spurts..What a mess.

Take care of yourselves...Now is the time.
