damn MJ, i'd say you're prettymuch fucked as a ton of points are being given out.

Chiefs have a snowball's chance in hell to cover at the lowly Jags, and they have the smallest margin of the other games, so the question is can the Jags get over 7 against them?

Falcons played a hard game vs the Saints and may relax against a pathetic Skins team, content to win by a score?

Texans have been playing tough and i expect them to cover, plus Manning didn't fare too well last week only winning by 4 vs the 49'rs.

The Pack vs Bucs have won 6 of the last 13 games in Tampa, so that game could go to the Pack as they're due? Freeman is an unknown factor and i know nothing about him other than he had a 58% completion rate in college. Probably very likely Pack D will swarm his ass all day?

If i had my druthers, I'd take the Jags who are 2-1 @ home (albeit against winless teams, Titans & Rams)

good luck!

(for myself, i've picked Chiefs, Bucs, and Skins to cover already)

someone already pointed out the 'motivation factor' against a losing team, and i see it as the same in shooting pool against a poor player, i don't try as hard and could lose ...

I think most survivor pools are straight up winners without the spreads.

Yeah, should have mentioned that. Need to pick straight up winners. You can pick a team only once. Was $100 a head, with 1600 people in the pool. About 475 left.

Seems to me that ATL and GB are the easiest picks

That's some fucking sirius money. $160,000 prize pool? Maybe I should start playing Survivor.

With that many people still left you probably have to be more risky and pick mediocre/bad teams...So probably Jax or Sea, though I wouldnt be shocked if either lost...I also might make a case for the 49ers, if they lose this game their season is over...GL

Can say the same thing for Seattle.

When I have a tough decision to make I almost always look at the lines.

Seattle is -585, Jacksonville is -285. I think both should win easily but Vegas must like Seattle alot more if you have to lay more then double on the seahawks. Atlanta may be a good choice as well at -440. But since they are a better team then Seattle I would save them for later in the year. Your going to have to last to week 15 or 16 unless we see some major upsets.... Take the biggest favorite and the team you are least likely to use later in the year. ...I am .... Good Luck.

In your situation, Seattle and Atlanta are the only logical choices, and I'd go with Seattle, since Atlanta has better late season prospects. GB is a Road team, an automatic toss unless no other reasonable choice. Jax can easily lose, don't lose picking a bad team that's not a huge favorite if you don't have to, and Indy has late season prospects.

Hawks don't lose at Qwest when Hasselbustedribs is pitching, only when Seneca is pitching.

Before Hasselbeck got injured in '08, during '05, '06, and '07 the Hawks won 24 out of 27 home games (including playoffs).

w/re noise?

Quote:
Qwest Field has earned a reputation for being the loudest stadium in the NFL. Seahawks fans already had a reputation for being among the most vociferous in the NFL when they played in the Kingdome. The seating decks and partial roof direct exceptional amounts of crowd noise onto the field. The north end zone bleachers are the lowest-priced tickets and seat the most vocal fans. The Hawks Nest bleachers are constructed of metal which reflects the sound onto the field. The opposing offense missing the snap count due to the loud noise creates one of the best home field advantages in the league.
