Our local hs football team makes the playoffs for 1st time ever!

My town will be a fun place to be this next week! Last night we somehow earned a spot for the high school playoff season. That's the good news....

I know this isn't the spirit, but we will prob get creamed next Friday night...we are matched up against Columbus St Francis DeSalles, and a star player on their team is Adam Griffin, son of the great Archie Griffin. The game will be at their field in Columbus.

My son is all pumped up for this,his marching band will perform at the game, what a great time to be a Senior in high school for him this year!

I did get to find out some info as to part of the reason there was such a spike in the text count....apparently on Friday nights at the high school football games, he texts out score info for the hs football game he's at to some posters on the hs football forum he posts on, as well as recieving game updates for other games in our division from other people in that forum community that are at those games....at least that is what he told me. He also said he gets headline news updates from msnbc via texts, because that is easier than taking the time to watch the news before he take's weekly current events quiz's in Social Studies class.

I am biting the bullet and decided to go on the 173 mi trip as a chapprone on the band bus....we are leaving here Fri afternoon at 2pm, game is at 7:30 and probably will be back home around 1am....gonna be a long day.

well tonight's the night! Heading out in half hour to catch the bus.....I hope our team does well! But regardless, it should be a cool expereince for both the team and the band.

Lots of the town's people are heading down there to watch us play tonight...it's all everyone in town's been talking about all wk!

I am dead tired...was fun, we lost 21-45. Archie Griffith's son, Adam Griffith is as fast as lightening!

Couple of our kids got to meet Archie Griffith, who was there watching his son play....I guess he then takes off for Penn State to catch up with the buckeyes tonight after game or first thing in morning?
