Default Feist's Proline now extinct?

Proline TV Show Jim Feist on Life Support?
It looks like the sportsbooks are not the only ones falling prey to the enormously successful professional football handicappers at OffshoreInsiders.com
Rumor is rampant that the Jim Feist Proline TV show could soon be on the brink of extinction as they struggle to make budget.

It’s no secret that the company has lost $2.6 million over the previous two quarters fighting an uphill battle losing clients to superior sports handicapping dynasties.
According to industry expert Brian Kayma of CasinoBettingNews.com, “Feist built an empire by being the first and biggest on cable television. Wayne Allyn Root tried to duplicate but made the blunder of hiring washed up athletes and middling coaches to lend their name.
Steve Budin, Brandon Lang, and Al DeMarco have tried a similar model on regional sports networks. Jonathan Stone, Jeff Allen, Lee Sterling, and a list of suspects purchase expensive radio infomercial time. Johnny Bono is buying “telematched” calling lists. None of the above can compete with the unprecedented winning of Stevie Vincent, Joe Duffy, Mike Godsey, and Matt Rivers,” concludes Kayma.

Yeah BSM positivly ran that show into the ground. Also ran the room into the ground. I will lay odds with anyone that DB may not be that far behind. Complete mis management job by BSM all the way around on this one. No other reason. They blew 10's of millions. No two ways about it.

As young capper in the mid 80s I bought a week of feists baseball picks. He hooked me good, the 1st 2 weeks he was on fire, if I remember corectly he went something like 56 and 8. I was sold and bought into his " inner circle plays" and started calling his $50 per call 900 numbers. Long story made short over the next 3 weeks I lost 4 times what I have won and paid Feist about $1800 for the right to do so. My favorate line they used on me was " these plays are so strong they MUST be parlayed". What a Dumb ass I was.

According to USA TV network figures I saw over a 3 year period, it was generating 63 million views a season at its height in 99-04. That number includes the sports desk show also. Thats multiple shows across three times zones, for a couple of decades on end, all of which came on before all the big ESPN type football shows that came on after it.

As for who had time to watch it...OH MY GOD. Its just this simple. Among other things I answered the phone for the proline show. A show that came on at 7 in the east and 4 in the west.

At exactly 4:02 am every saturday morning during the season all hell broke loose till 9 flat. Asses and elbows all over everywhere. Had you walked by the office and looked in at about 4:30 on....

Phones rang off the damn hook. Who had time to watch it??? Where did they all come from????

Forget the room. Do you have any idea how many 900 and internet sales were made off that show. I DO.

Same Day? There are internet sites today that don't generate in a year what one proline saturday can. Monthly?? Is the current pipe dream of all internet based servies today and the all but dried up sheet income that they think/hope will come with it.

Extend all sales and leads for each saturday show out to the 6 month tracking system in place, and....

BSM FLAT OUT BLEW UP A MONEY MAKING MACHINE UNREAL.

And thats just inside the walls of NSS mind you. Outside the walls is outside my knowledge range and purview.

However those in the real know in these fourms have real good idea how much those names and numbers generates and I am sure its well in excess of the avg 9.3 million dollar in sales, generated on the sales floor only, credit card or wire only, in the 01-06 time period I was there.

Who had time to watch proline? Who didn't watch proline???

I used to tape Proline and SportsDesk, since it was on before I'dw ake up. The BS spouted on these shows, and the bravado of these Football clueles phonies like Feist and Root, was hysterically entertaining. Through it all though, I enjoyed watching Dave Cokin, the ONE guy on any of these shows I had some respect for, as he clearly knew what he was taking about, and was just there because he had to play that stupid game to compete.
