Pre-game scene at Wembley Stadium

LONDON -- A feel for the pre-game scene at magnificent Wembley Stadium, where the Patriots face the Buccaneers (1 p.m.) in what is technically a home game for the Bucs:

Weather conditions: It is beautiful here, 63 degrees and partly cloudy. It is possible that the wind could be a bit of a factor as the orange flags on both goalposts are fluttering a bit. Some Patriots players are on the field early, warming up, and getting used to the surface. A great day for football.

Flavor to come: Spent some time talking with locals and getting a feel for the scene here before the game. Pics and a few stories -- including one scary moment for me -- to come.

Officiating: Today's game will be officiated by Jerome Boger. Mike Sando's ESPN.com NFC West blog provides the skinny on Boger and every other NFL referee.

TV broadcast: Jim Nantz (play-by-play) and Phil Simms (analysis) will call the game on CBS. This is their fourth of four straight Patriots broadcasts.

Imagine all the tourists trying to figure out game time in London. sure, it's 5 hours difference usually, but the euros changed to winter time this morning...
