Default Rutgers/Army Thread

I'll take the over 38 on this one! I think Rutgers can cover this themselves and Army will put up some scores too. Good luck today everyone...hopefully a profitable weekend all around.

I like

Army team total U14

Army is one dimensional for the most part. Rutgers should be able to control Army's running game. 10-13 for Army sounds about right. They'll be hard pressed to get to 16 or 17. If it rains, it'll shorten the fg's too.

Army's last 4 games they scored 10, 16, 16, and 13, and the opposition was exactly stellar.

It seems to me, just about every part of this line, is pretty close. Rutgers probably wins 27-10 IMO.

Hey Table Win you disappeared last night. I thought maybe a few to many libations after the game. Thanks for talking me into Fl State

I'll be playing live and Q's on this one. I do hope Analyzer is right about points for Army.

Have Rutgers teased to win to start. Hope they put up some #'s for you over.

I'm surprised so much love for Rutgers, has anyone actually watched this team play? They're terrible.

Someone mentioned Army's opponents not being stellar? As opposed to the powerhouses Rutgers has for their wins this year? A line up that includes Howard, Texas Southern, Florida International, and Maryland.

Sure, Rutgers has the better players, but this Army team is scrappy, and they have fought and clawed in every game they've been in. And believe me, they will run the ball with some success against Rutgers tonight.

Other then Iowa St. pulling away late, Army has been in every game right to the end (don't let the Duke and Temple scores fool you, those were very late turnover add on points).

I concede Rutgers is a notch above Army on the class calculator, but with what I've seen from these 2 squads this year, I'm convinced this will be a competitive ball game, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Army pull out the outright win.

I don't disagree with anything you've said here. I'm struggling with whether to add them to my Dog Day. I just don't know if Army can score enough points. Yes, they were in the game last week 13-13 late, and if they convert on 4th and iches, I have another 305 points in the dog day. But they didn't, and then had an interception overturned because of an interference call, then fumble on their own 1, and next thing you know, a 13-13 tie, ends 27-13, and I don't cover ARMY +10 ARGGGGGGGGGG!!!

Army is a bit like Vandy. Yes they are scrappy, and hang around, but they're challenged a bit offensively wouldn't you agree?

Army lost to Tulane, who was whooped by every team with a pulse, and they barely beat Vanderbilt, who, I have been making a living playing the "vandy team-total UNDER".

I agree rutgers is nothing special, hence I didn't play either side. I just think Army will struggle to score, that's all.

But keep pluggin Army, and you may talk them into my dogday final 5

I just said I thought they were a scrappy group playing against an underachieving ball club. But you're correct in saying that Army is offensively "challenged" and "one-dimensional". And Rutgers is certainly a better team.

You'd be nuts to let anything I say influence your picks in Dog Day, your in 2cnd and I'm in 10th, so the math there should be obvious.

Ive been just a .500 picker all year, so my opinions aren't anything to get excited about this year, that's for sure.

It's all good. I like an open discussion. Too often it seems, there is 'group think' on this board. Devils advocate only makes us a stronger handicapping unit.

Agree, Nothing better than seeing reasonable opinions from both sides.
