Default 2 ESPN execs playing around

2 ESPN execs playing around

6:31 AM, October 23, 2009
NY POST

There must be something in the water at ESPN.

On the heels of the Steve Phillips affair-with-an-assistant revelation, two other network bigs have been exposed for a steamy in-house liaison.

Senior marketing Vice President Kate Lacey is in a hot-and-heavy romance with David Berson, the vice president for programming.

"I'm in an ongoing and known relationship with a peer," Lacey told The Post.

Berson, whom Business Week ranks as the 73rd most powerful man in sports, finalized his divorce from his ex-wife Jane in March, a source said. Lacey and Berson first found romance together two years ago, the source said. A separate ESPN source confirmed Berson and Lacey had been dating for a long time.

"I've taken the high road so far and will continue to do so," said Jane Berson. "I can't comment."

Meanwhile, other employees said ESPN has had a lusty office vibe for years.

One of them blamed geography.

ESPN brass are "not really against work relationships," he explained, "because [the headquarters is] so in the middle of nowhere."

I'm surprised this is news. We wouldn't hear of it if two Hewlett-Packard execs we're getting it done...at least I hope we wouldn't. I wonder why she had to comment at all? Who asked?

One of them blamed geography.

As I know the area well I would accept this as a good excuse. For relatioships like the one described above at least.

Howid:

Espn ended up where it was in Bristol becuase it was flat cowpie land and no surrounding hills to disturb sattelites. And I'm sure they wanted them there BADLY.

If Letterman lives near there its because of privacy so good for rendevous:)

This town had 30k people in it when I was born.

You still get your name in the paper if you get arrested too. They print the police blog.......LOL

I grew up a few towns over.

New years party at an elks club. I apparently didnt leave the parking lot quick enough for the officer who told me to when there was a skirmish.

Maced and jailed. Charges dropped.

Those drinks at the elks club came in tiny glasses. I only had a dozen or so.

Come on Steve Phillips that chick looks like a 25 yo Rosie O'Donnell. We know you don't have Erin Andrews cred but you can do better than her. For God's sake tell us you were just slumpbusting for a night.

They can laugh all they want. Because by the time Lil' Slippery comes out, its after the point of no return, so who cares

Have you ever had to rolled a fattie in flower to find the wet spot? I banged some big one but none so big I could not find their slit.
